It is annoying when during a really fine endurance run your in-ear buds suddenly slip out of your ear and fall to the ground. With several TWS buds, this can be hard being avoided because they’re not fixed solidly enough in your ear canal. The Power Beats Pro is completely different, with a sturdy bridge with a rubber claw that clings to your ears. But if the cost that Apple charge is very high for you, then you’d consider Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 which realizes this concept for less than half price. If you’re interested let’s jump into the Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 review:
Not every listener is a fan of the ear hook design. But when it comes to working out with TWS buds, it is an option that guarantees you would not end up scrabbling around on the pavement looking for an earbud that slipped out just as you look to up the pace.
Anker has clearly taken big inspiration far from the more costly Power Beats Pro. And considering that they are half of the price of these Sony earbuds, they manage to look each bit as sharp. They hook into the ear very comfortably, with 3 sets of ear wings and 5 pairs of ear tips assuring that every size is catered for.
Once on, they do not budge and are comfortable on even the longest of runs. We took them out on 10Km and there was no sort of discomfort or the need to fix them, as is often the case with earbuds that don’t hook over the ears.
To make sure of a stable fit, the Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 features a combination of ear hook and wing. While the short ear wings give proper support inside the ear, the hook is positioned behind the ear, which relieves pressure and has a further stabilizing effect.
Due to their design, these in-ears might need a certain amount of careful fitting, but they fit comfortably and don’t cause pressure discomfort. Another plus aspect is that personalized adjustments can be made because of various size ear tips and 3 different wings, which can be combined freely.
When it comes to calling quality, Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 is superb. With CVC 8.0 noise cancelation makes sure that your voice is isolated rightly and background noise is ignored as you talk on the mobile through TWS buds. The microphone is also a pleasant surprise, delivering ultra-clear hands-free calls. That means these can simply double up as your go-to headphones for all those daytime zoom calls.
The sound quality is one of the strengths of the Anker Soundcore Spirit X2. For this price tag, the earbuds offer a very nice, balanced sound with detailed mid, clear highs, and deep bass. If you want, you can even boost the bass quality at the push of a button, but for me, this is too much of a great thing and not necessary!
The Spirit X2 buds transport the low frequencies powerfully enough even in standard operation. This is assured by drivers measuring 12mm in diameter, which are considerably bigger and therefore stronger than in many other TWS buds.
In addition, Sound Core has also stated that it has made a point of equipping the model with great sound enhancement software that automatically raises low frequencies at the appropriate point. If it were up to me, Sound Core would intervene very less boldly in the listening experience with proper sound enhancement algorithms.
I hear a slightly amplified treble in addition to the boosted bass. This gives a crispy-tuned, but somewhat unnatural-sounding result. Balancing on the narrow ridge of tuning is not simple and separates Anker’s sound quality from the best in the audio field.
Short battery performance is the Achilles’ heel of several TWS buds. Not so with the Anker Soundcore Spirit X2. With 9hrs playing time on the battery charge, the Anker X2 lasts a long time. And not just for the price tag, but also compared to more costly versions. In the charging case, there’s further power for 27hrs of playback. So the manufacturer has utilized the space of the bulky earphones and charging case very sensibly.
