Anker Soundcore Sport X10 Review – Ideal for Sport and Work Out

Anker Soundcore Sport X10 Review – Short words

Anker Soundcore Sport X10 review: Exceptional active noise-canceling wireless earbuds and ability to adjust EQ as your preference. Besides, they also have a transparent mode as well. The rotating ear hooks design and five pairs of different sizes of ear tips so that you can find the perfect spot for a secure and comfortable fit that doesn’t shift. IPX7 waterproof and SweatGuard technology to perfectly protect your earbuds from water, hard rain, and your sweat from hard exercise. The Anker SoundCore Sport X10 true wireless earbuds also come with maximum playtime of up to 32 hours (including playtime from the charging case). You can listen to music continuously for up to 8 hours.

Anker Sport X10

true wireless earbuds, rotatable ear hooks design, Bluetooth 5.2, playtime: 8 hours (single-charge)/32 hours (with the case), fast charge, IPX7 waterproof, BassUp technology, 22 EQ presets & manual EQ

The style of ear hook headphones design continues to go and become more popular for athletes or people who like to work out. I had ever written about the best running headphones, and there are a few factors to make a decision. For example; waterproof rating, playtime, and secure fit and stay in place while we intensive exercise session. The Anke Soundcore comes with all three factors. I will show you every detail of these best working-out earbuds in the Anker Soundcore Sport X10 review. Let’s go into detail right now.

Anker Sport X10 Review – Unique and Cool Design

I like the unique and cool design and rotatable ear hooks. This is not moldable solid material that can not twist, the smart design to swivel at their base to anchor around your ears. They can secure fit onto the top part of the ears no matter what shape your ears are. The hooks can rotate up to 210-degree from the original position, which means they can secure and fit easily for a wide variety of ears.

However; I can feel a bit of gentle pressure on the top of the ear to maintain a secure fit. That means this feeling might not happen to all, upon how much sensitive their ears. So personally thinking, if you wear glasses or even sunglasses while working out, these ear hooks might be made uncomfortable and have some issues, for example, maybe not a perfect fit to the ears or the ear hooks easy to budge.

The earbuds can against water and sweat very well. With an IPX7 waterproof level, that means can immerse them in the water deep up to 1 meter for half hour. The Anker Sport X10 utilized SweatGuard technology to create a sweatproof seal against the internal circuit from sweat corrosion. That’s why I entail the Anker Soundcore X10 is one of the best working-out earbuds.

The Charging Case

The shape of the charging case is normal, compact, and pill-shaped, and this design is like other wireless earbuds such as Anker Space A40 or OneBuds Plus Z2. But there is one thing that makes this case different from others, and that is the LED panel on the front can press to open the case too. The overall case’s build quality is solid, not flimsy.

How to wear the ear hook?

Easily to wear, look at the below picture then you can understand. It’s easy, try it.

In the box: five pairs of silicone ear tips that range in size from extra small to extra large; they make it easy to achieve an ideal in-canal fit.

How to control the Anker Sport X10 earbuds?

Each earbud features a real button, pressable. The control scheme is intuitive. However, if you don’t like the default control system, you can change them via the companion app.

How to control function?

Left Earbud

  • One press – Volume down
  • Double press – Skip to the next track

Right Earbud

  • One press – Volume up
  • Double press – To handle playback

Either earbud

  • Press and hold 2 secs – Trun on ANC/cycle through ANC on, transparency mode, and ANC off
  • One press – Answer incoming calls
  • Press and hold for 2 seconds – End calls
  • Press and hold for 2 seconds – access voice assistant support (only mono mode)

However, some functions do not make sense. For example, there is no back to the previous song on the default schema. Another thing that I think is a drawback, is to access the digital assistant voice support only works in mono mode. This means you can only utilize it when you wear one earbud. To activate it, press and hold for 2 seconds. If you wear both earbuds and perform this action, it will be activated for a cycle through the ANC feature and transparency modes.

These scheme controls can be reassigned to different input methods as you desire via the app. These are including playback, answer/end calls, volume control, and activating listening mode (ANC/transparency).

How about the battery of these best sports earbuds?

The company claims that these sport X10 earbuds rate battery life at 8 hours once charged with turning ANC off. This is approximately but not always exactly. The volume level also affects playtime, which is normal. So if you are those who like listening to music at loud volume, surely you have to end up charging them more often. The case charge is provided for an additional 24 hours. The Anker doesn’t forget fast charge, they also have a fast charge feature for Sport X10, with just 10 minutes of charging you will get an additional 2 hours of playback.

A pity, they are not compatible with wireless charging. You can use the USB-C cable only for charging.

Anker Sport X10 Review – The Sound Quality

These workout wireless earbuds come with 10mm dynamic drivers deliver extra strong bass sound and are powerful which is ideal for workout earbuds. This is normal for Anker’s sound style which provides bass-heavy. Once I listen to music with the default EQ mode. On the song with intense bass sounds, like “Come As You Are” by Nirvana, they deliver a powerful thump. Even at the higher volume, the bass doesn’t distort and is still strong.

The default EQ preset is called Soundcore Signature, which is suit for hip-hop, EDM, heavy rock, or even pop-rock genres. You should know, there is the option to turn up the Bassup feature for a stronger low-end response.

If you do not prefer the strong bass, the Anker Soundcore Sport X10 provides 22 preset EQ (includes Soundcore’s own Signature EQ) along with freedom customization EQ for your favorite sound profile that you can choose and try. That means if all preset EQs don’t do it for you, there is another choice to create your sound profile.

The default Soundcore’s signature is ideal for the strong bass genres, but the rest 21 EQ presets still deliver a good balance of mids and highs. All in all the Anker Soundcore Sport X10 provides great sound quality along with a fantastic app that can be variously adjustable.
