HifiMAN Susvara Review – Most Expensive High End Planar Magnetic Headphones

HifiMAN Susvara Review – Short Words

HifiMAN Susvara Review: The amount of $6000 is a large budget, which means it has to be value to buy a high-end headphone with this budget. HifiMAN Susvara, is that the answer? You have to answer for yourself. As for me, these are flagship headphones and offer very excellent sound detail and an extended frequency response that fast. These most expensive headphones offer an extremely natural-sounding soundstage. However; one big issue for these high-end planar magnetic headphones, is that you need to have an extremely clean and powerful headphone amp to get the best result. If the budget is not your problem and has remained cash, you can try to S.M.S.L SU-9 MQA Full Decoder Amplifier or Denon PMA-800NE Stereo Integrated Amplifier which was especially great for Susvara.

HifiMAN Susvara

Full-size Planar Magnetic Headphones, Sweety voice, and Harmonious Sound, Open-back design, Advanced magnet design for acoustic invisibility

I confess the fact that I didn’t buy these because HifiMAN Susvara is one of the most expensive headphones. However; I used for a couple of hours to try Susvara with a friend who owns an audio equipment store that I know. I can’t buy these headphones because they are expensive too for me. For this reason, I would recommend them for those who are truly audiophiles headphones and the price is not absolutely the problem.

External appearance – Premium Design

Hifiman Susvara, the brand’s latest flagship headset. As for the exterior, it will look similar to the previous flagship headphones (HE-1000). The main body of the upper headband and driver grille is made of stainless steel. The earcups use wood to help reflect the sound. The headband is redesigned to have wider and more comfortable to wear. The lower headband uses a perforated leather sheet for good heat dissipation. These, do not feel hot and reduce the weight of the headphones as well. The sponge is designed to be angled to the shape of the ears. So that the driver is angled to fit the ear.

HiFiMAN Susvara Review – New technology

Susvara’s interior uses a planar magnetic driver that Hifiman is specialized in that is only nanometer-thin. At this level, only a handful of manufacturers are able to work with the Acoustically Invisible Stealth Magnets. Hifiman-invented magnets are rounded. This ensures that the sound emitted by the diaphragm through the magnet is not refracted by normal, angular magnetic resonance.

The Sound Performance of HifiMAN Susvara

The Susvara are headphones that need to be used in conjunction with a desktop headphone amp, and they work great with either tube or solid-state amps, both are excellent. Give tone a superior sound balance. The tone of the voice is clear and the mood of the music is realistic. Vocals that performed well in Hifiman at all price ranges, with Susvara didn’t disappoint. It produces a richer sound and a larger image than all models that have ever been released (except Shangri-La). The tone is sweet and responsive to every range of voice of the singer. Which will make the singer’s voice heard and it is completely different from normal headphones.

The soundstage is wide and majestic. Give excellent three-dimensional both wide and deep. The breakdown of the musical pieces is very superb. You can easily recognize the details and positions of various instruments in the track. While the low-tone response was impressive even the first time I heard it as well. The Susvara gives a thicker bass mass and gives a clearer note than the HE1000 which you can feel and is a very deep bass. They are developed from the HE1000 is quite perfect and very effective.

Susvara – Planar Magnetic Headphones Great Built & Comfort

HifiMAN produces the Susvara impressively well. I was wondering if the HifiMAN headphones would be good, as I had tried the low middle-end HifiMAN HE-400i and I was not very impressed. And this has lead to the idea that their product isn’t great either. But Susvara had me change my thinking and completely disappear frustrated with the HifiMAN headphones.

From the looks and feel perspective, the Susvara looks very elegant and gorgeous and looks very expensive too. They’re great and significantly better than other lower-end headphones.

The Susvara is the planar magnetic design and I think this is the first time to use a “stealth magnet system”. Other planar magnetic headphones have magnets on one or two sides of the diagram and the magnet array Can be significantly hindered. But the Susvara (including HE-1000SE), magnet has been created with round-edged to reduce the effect on sound waves produced by the diaphragm.

The HifiMAN Susvara just weight 450g. Even though they are not the lightest headphones out there, the Susvara is extremely comfortable for long listening periods. It’s also very lighter than its other high-end headphones, with the Arya reaching over 1500g and HE-1000 V2 reaching 480g.
