SoundPEATS T2 Review – Short words

SoundPEATS T2 review: The SoundPEATS T2 wireless earbuds provide good decent sound quality, moderate active noise cancellation, and good transparency mode. They give moderate playtime around 8 – 9 hours for a single charge. The design is just plain and looks good. The IPX5 level is not the highest waterproof rating, but enough against some like a splash or soft rain and just enough for soft working out and walking around the village or park.

SoundPEATS T2 Hybrid ANC Wireless Earbuds

in-ear, hybrid ANC, transparency mode, Bluetooth 5.1, playtime: 8 hours (single charge)/30 hours (with charging case), fast charge, charging type: USB-C, waterproof rating: IPX5, support voice assistant

Today see you again with another cheap wireless earbud, the SoundPEATS T2. The full price is around $80 but sometimes it has reduces quite a lot. These are hybrid active noise-cancellation and transparency mode wireless earbuds with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. How good sound quality do they are providing? How long of playtime do these SoundPETS wireless earbuds offer? And about durability, how? Go to find the answer in the SoundPEATS T2 review right now.

SoundPEATS T2 Review – The Design and Build Quality

This is a not stem design, it’s wireless earbuds without long stems. The external looks are homely but feel solid. The charging case is small and easy to slip into the pocket of trousers. The dimension of the case is 2.55″ x 1.13″ x 1.64″ and for earbuds is 085″ x 0.69″ x 1.09″ approximately. There are three LED lights on the front of the charging case to indicate the battery’s status. On the back of the case, there is a USB charging port.

The earbuds’ shape looks like other SoundPEATS models no matter Mini Pro, Sonic, or Free2 Classic. There is a SoundPEATS logo on the outside of the earbuds and this area is touch area control.

The earbuds, overall materials are matte-black plastic making them lightweight and comfortable for a long session wearing. The SoundPEATS T2 provides 3 different sizes of silicone tips in the box letting you find the perfect fit for your ears.

The charging case is as well, they are made of plastic, matte-black. When it comes to durability, it should be not easily breakable if not drop it from a height. All electronic gadgets should be used carefully, really?

The SoundPEATS T2 comes with IPX5 rated, which means it can resist sweat or soft rain. You can wear them for working out outdoors, but you should choose the right size silicone tip to fit to let it stay in place while you are exercising or moving your body.

Control schemes are easy and intuitive, there is no complication.

  • Play/Pause the music – Tap twice on the left or right buds
  • Increase volume – One tap on the right bud
  • Decrease volume – One tap on the left bud
  • Skip to the next track – Tap and hold on the right bud
  • To activate the voice assistant – Tap three times on the left or right buds

You may take some time to get used to the controlling scheme. A bit pitty, that only one operation is missing, that is there is no previous track operation.

SoundPEATS T2 Hybrid ANC Wireless Earbuds – Battery Life

When it comes to battery life, the T2 provides enough for all day listening to music. You can get around 8 to 9 hours when turning off ANC from a full charge on earbuds and also an additional 22 hours from their charging case. However; if you would like to turn on ANC, you will lose almost half of the playing time. However, there is another main factor that affects playing time, which is the volume level. In my feeling, the SoundPEATS T2 offers standard playtime when compared to other wireless earbuds. Not good but not so bad in terms of playtime.

SoundPEATS T2 Review – The Sound Quality

The SoundPEATS T2 is powered by a large 12mm dynamic driver that delivers decent-quality sound. The bass is quite strong. They provide crisp and clear highs. The mids are well-balanced and soft. The vocal is completely detailed. The soundstage is just moderate quite good and can clearly separate the position of the sound instrument.

How about noise cancellation that SoundPEATS T2 can do?

The SoundPEATS T2 is designed to conform to the ears’ shape, so they can reduce and block outside noise decently even not turn the ANC on. To turn on the ANC features, just tap and hold the left bud for 2 seconds and for another 2 seconds switch to transparency mode.

I’m very impressed about noise-canceling at this price tag. The SoundPEATS T2 wireless earbuds can reduce most environments’ sound even though not all. These SoundPEATS wireless earbuds can block the sound like an air conditioner, fan, or something place such as some noise in the restaurant very well. But you can still hear some noise like chatter or typing sound on the keyboard. In someplace that are very noisy like engine sound on a train or airplane, the noise will definitely decrease but not disappear entirely.

When turning on the transparency mode, it works well. You can hear the environment sound more clearly. However; it still works well when you are listening to music on low to moderate volume levels.

SoundPEATS T2 Wireless Earbuds – Call Quality

These SoundPEATS T2 come with built-in two noise-canceling microphones in each bud that can work well. The call quality is clear and I can understand all words that the other end said.

SoundPEATS T2 Review – Features

Bluetooth 5.1 and Connectivity

Fast pairing, just take the earbuds off the case and open Bluetooth on your smartphone, and it will automatically pair immediately. But unfortunately, there is no support for aptX. Some wireless earbuds that support aptX such as SoundPEATS Sonics or Tribit FlyBuds C2. And I hope to see support for aptX codec in the future for the T2 model.

Active Noise Cancelling

There are many wireless earbuds that have ANC features but not all of them come with great ANC, especially wireless earbuds at a price range under $100. The SoundPEATS T2 is not great ANC but not too bad. It can reduce most environmental sounds even though not all.

Passthrough / Transparency feature

This feature works well in the SoundPEATS T2. Although has a little bit of white noise but lets you hear everything around you.

IPX5 waterproof rating

The SoundPEATS T2 wireless earbuds can withstand a splash or just soft rain. You can wear them for sport or working out. But if you want wireless earbuds for your workout routine and you are those who have a lot of sweat, I recommend finding others that have a higher waterproof rating such as Btootos A90 Pro or Tozo Crystal Buds both are IPX7 waterproof rating, etc.

SoundPEATS T2 Wireless Earbuds Review – Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Decent ANC and good transparency mode
  • Good sound quality
  • Good battery life
  • Bluetooth 5.1

Cons

  • There is no app
  • There is no support for wireless charging

SoundPEATS T2 Review – Final Verdict

The SoundPEATS T2 wireless earbuds provide good decent sound quality, moderate active noise cancellation, and good transparency mode. They give moderate playtime around 8 – 9 hours for a single charge. The design is just plain and looks good. The IPX5 level is not the highest waterproof rating, but enough against some like a splash or soft rain and just enough for soft working out and walking around the village or park. I hope you enjoy reading and this SoundPETAS T2 review will give additional useful information to you. Thank you.
