If you happen to come across this review, I’m not trying to persuade or recommend you to buy this Sowo portable speaker, I’m just writing a review of the Sowo SurgeBoom 2 portable Bluetooth speaker based on search. If you’re looking for a cheap portable speaker with decent quality, check out this Sowo SurgeBoom 2 review.
First of all, I have to honestly admit that I didn’t buy the Sowo SurgeBoom 2 portable speaker. Because it was not available in my country. But the information I wrote comes from what I try to search on the internet both website reviews and information from real users on Amazon.
It is a cylinder shape portable speaker with RGB colorful lights on both the top and bottom of the speaker. Mostly made of plastic and the weight is around 1 pound. Its size fits in the palm very well as well as comes with a well-knit lanyard that lets your convenience take it on the go or even hang it anywhere, extremely easily portable.
The control buttons sit on the side of the speaker. They are physical buttons. There is a power button, four LED dot lights, a “+” button for volume up and next tract, a “-” button for volume down and previous track, a TWS button for dual stereo sound, and a Bluetooth button for reset pairing and call control (answer/reject a call). On the next down, underneath a rubber plate, there is an AUX-in slot and charging port. Both port is protected by rubber plate to prevent water and dust go inside.
They are available in black, ocean blue, pink, and red.
The Sowo SurgeBoom 2 speaker is ideal for parties by the pool or outdoor activities with an IP67 waterproof rating. It is better than some portable speakers like the Comiso X26 (IPX4) or MusiBaby M68 (IPX5). So you don’t worry about water splashing or rain. It can survive, and you can use it in the shower. Thanks to the durable fabric material and rugged rubber housing that protect your speaker, it will outlast all of your activities.
As its specs indicate, this Sowo portable Bluetooth speaker has a built-in lithium-ion (2500 mAh) battery and provides you with up to 16 hours. Besides, it can be recharged more than 1,000 times. Many users say that it is very good and gives long hours of playtime—more than 14 hours. Most people charge the Sowo SurgeBoom 2 speaker just once per month. Full charging time takes around 3 to 4 hours by USB type-C charging cable.
The company claims that this built-in lithium-ion battery can be recharged more than 1000 times, and the maximum actual capacity will not be reduced. I can’t tell if this is real for now. Most users probably haven’t tested charging up to 1000 times before they write a review, haha.
100-foot unobstructed work range, which is a very great connection. You can connect the speaker to smartphones, PCs, laptops, or other Bluetooth devices. For the first time, you have to pair your Bluetooth audio device with the Sowo Surgeboom II speaker.
The way to connect is simple, like how to connect your smartphone with other general Bluetooth speakers. You can see in the user manual how to pair and connect, which is included in the package.
This is a 25-watt loud stereo sound speaker. The sound is loud for a small party, and the sound quality is so good for its price. Many people say that they buy Sowo SurgeBook 2 speakers to use in older vehicles (mostly without Bluetooth) while on the trip. And they found it very useful.
25 watts is loud enough and quite loud too. You can also use two Sowo SurgeBoom II speakers for true wireless stereo surround sound. Besides, this Sowo portable speaker also has Bassboom technology to improve the bass by 28%, which is superior to the original model.
Another exciting thing is that the radiator is also loaded with cool LED lights with dual 256-level brightness displays. It makes the nighttime party look more fun and colorful. The luminous light can also be adjusted by double-clicking the power button for light modes: face, breathing, off/on, and double-clicking again to turn it off.
