Anker Soundcore H30i review: It is a budget-friendly wireless on-ear headset. The headphones have an amazing battery life that provides up to 70 hours for one charge. The Anker Soudncore H30i utilizes Bluetooth 5.3, which offers stable connections and multi-point connectivity. The sound quality is quite good enough for listening to music or podcasts. The good thing is that it also supports the Soundcore app, letting users customize the sound profile. If you have a limited budget and are looking for wireless headphones, the Anker Soudncore H30i is one of the great choices.
Anker Soundcore H30i
on-ear, wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, multi-point connection (2 devices simultaneously connected), foldable design, 90-degree rotatable earcups, soft padded earcups, adjustable headband, battery life: 70 hours of playtime, on-ear physical control buttons, powerful bass, support Soundcore app
The Soundcore H30i is available in black and white at the release date. The black looks sleek, while the white looks stylish and outstanding, with gold circulars and gold Anker Soundcore’s logo on the outside of the earcups. While the black, the circular, and the logo are soft black, which looks not so different from the body. It does not look as outstanding as the white.
Headphones can fold inward to a compact shape and save space during travel. The company claims that these Soundcore H30i are soft and fatigue-free to wear. As far as I have tested, the ear cushions are very soft due to the thickness of memory protein padding. They are soft and feel quite durable; they are not easily torn. I didn’t feel any fatigue after a few hours of testing. However, if you accidentally break the ear pads, you can buy a new one to replace them. The good thing is that the Soundcore H30i has removable earpads.
Besides, the earcup can rotate 90 degrees to a flat shape and fold inward for easy portability. The fold-flat design lets you stash them away in a bag.
Its headband is adjustable to easily fit all head sizes and is another thoughtful design by the company. The stretchable headband provides a comfortable and secure fit for a variety of head shapes and sizes. The inner core of the headband is metal that is durable and is covered by good plastic, making it look perfectly beautiful. Underneath the top of the headband, padded with soft material, let it reduce the force on your head. This design relieves your fatigue even though you wear the headphones for long listening sessions.
Physical controls on the earcups let you play or pause the music, skip forward or back to the previous track, adjust the volume, and more.
It’s lightweight, weighing only 183 grams. Because the majority of materials are plastic, memory proteins and built-in electronic circuits are internal. The plastic is of high quality, looks durable, and isn’t likely to break easily. There is no mention of water resistance; I don’t know the waterproof rating of this product. But I think at least it should be an IPX4 rating. However, to be safer, you should try to avoid the headphones getting wet. Therefore, be careful about rain if wearing them outdoors.
The headphones can be folded up, and both hinge joints are well-made and sturdy.
As mentioned above, the headphones come with ear cushions that are thick and soft. So the H30i is very comfortable to wear. However, on-ear headphones can cause a bit of warmth and discomfort around the ears after wearing them for several hours. So if you feel that way, you should take off the headphones every two or three hours to relax your ears. Even though the Anker Soundcore H30i is well-designed to minimize heat through breathability material and reduce heat accumulation, it can make you feel hot and sweaty if you wear it for hours.

Anker claims that the H30i can offer 70 hours of battery life. This is very good for budget-friendly wireless over-ear headphones. I listen to music with the Soundcore H30i every day for two or three hours. In the next three weeks (almost a month), the battery has just come to run out. That means the H30i headphones can provide reach for more than 70 hours, as the company said.
Additionally, the Anker Soundcore H30i also has a fast charging feature. With type-C charging, you can charge the H30i headphones for only 5 minutes and get an additional 5 hours of power.
The Anker Soundcore gives a stable connection in the range of 10 meters. The signal is strong and there are no hiccups while you are listening to music or talking on the telephone if you are in that range (10 meters). Moreover, they also have multi-point pairing, which allows simultaneous connecting to two Bluetooth devices. It can easily switch between your phone calls and a laptop for YouTube or movies.
Other details about the Soundcore H30i include a built-in microphone for taking calls or working with voice assistance.
Unfortunately, the H30i only supports AAC and SBC codecs. It does not support aptX and LDAC, which isn’t like Anker Space One or Anker Space Q45. Both support high-quality codecs.
Many users say that the Anker Soundcore H30i delivers a very powerful bass sound. And I think so, but sometimes I feel it may be too much bass as well. Nevertheless, the sound profile can be customized to your taste with the EQ setting in the companion app.
The Anker Soundcore H30i is equipped with 40mm dynamic drivers that are anchor-tuned to deliver powerful deep bass response with crisp mids and clear treble. It provides punchy bass that is ideal for genres like rock, heavy rock, EDM, and pop rock too.
The Anker H30i supports the Soundcore app like other Soundcore headphones. You can customize the sound profile with different EQ presets to your liking. You can crank up the bass for strong genres like hip-hop or heavy rock or boost vocals for podcasts, which are very versatile tuning options and useful.
It’s sad to say that this item doesn’t support active noise cancellation. Most on-ear headphones are the same (they don’t support ANC). If you are serious about active noise-canceling, try other wireless over-ear headphones such as the Tozo HT2 or the Anker Soundcore Life Q20i.
