Anker Soundcore Motion Boom Plus

The Anker Soundcore Motion Boom+ is one of the large and powerful portable Bluetooth speakers. Which is similar to the Tribit StormBox Blast or Altec Lansing ROCKBOX XL, both have costs of more than 100 dollars. But these portable speakers are still cheaper than portable Bluetooth speakers from giant brands such as Sony, Bose, or JBL. The Soundcore Motion Boom Plus comes with IP67 waterproof, 80 watts stereo sound, intensive bass, and also customizable EQ sound profiles. What are good things and something that you should know before deciding to buy Soundcre Anker Motion Boom Plus portable speaker, let’s go into the detail of the Soundcore Anker Motion Boom+ review.
The Motion Boom Plus’s size is quite big, its dimension is 7.7″ (height) by 15.3″ (width) by 5.5″ (deep) and its weight is around 2.4 kg. The speaker is designed to easy portable with a shoulder strap that latches onto a loop on either end. It is soft and strong. Besides, the Anker Motion Book+ also comes with a built-in solid big handlebar allowing you to take it with one hand.
The exterior material is mostly solid plastic. There is the grille covered at the front. On the rear panel, there is a 3.5mm aux input, USB-C, and USB-A port underneath the rubber plate, which completely protects all connectivities from water.
All controls button is placed across the top front edge. There are base, Bluetooth, volume down, multifunction, volume up, power on/off, and PartyCast buttons. You can control playback, track navigation, and call management with multi-function buttons in the center. The PartyCast buttons use for pairing a second or third speaker. This feature lets you connect to up to 100+ PartyCast-compatible speakers together, which reach unbelievable volumes and amplify your listening experience.
On the sheet, the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom Plus speaker has an IP67 waterproof rating. That means it can protect both dust and water. Theoretically, it can submerge into the water up to 1 meter or 3.3 feet depth for 30 minutes and still work and hasn’t problems. The Bluetooth signals can’t work via the water and surely even though you turn on the speaker and play music, you will not hear the sound at all while the speaker submerges in the water. However; make sure to completely close the rubber plate to protect the water from getting into the internal circuit. This cause may be your Motion Boom+ speaker will ruin and damaged.
The Anker claims that the Motion Boom Plus portable Bluetooth speaker can give roughly 20 hours of playtime for a single charge. It like other general wireless speakers or wireless headphones, the total playtime will vary based on your typical listening volume. So your actual playtime can be more than 20 hours or less than 20 hours.
The Anker Motion Boom Plus has a built-in battery capacity of up to 13400mAh and also you can use it to work as a power bank via the USB-A port which is underneath the rubber plate.
Warning:
The good thing is this speaker supports the Soudcore app (compatible with both Android and iOS). By using the Soundcore app, you can customize eight-band EQ, select one of several EQ presets, turn off the voice prompt, activate the auto power-off function, etc.
Behind the grille are two 10W tweeters and two 30W woofers. The total power is 80W. The Anker Motion Boom+ portable speaker is designed with dual passive radiators to enhance bass response. They are placed on both sides (left and right) of the speaker.
The Anker Motion Boom Plus delivers serious bass rumble. If you open bass mode and crank up the volume, this speaker is powerful enough to cause a slight vibration of the wooden table on which it sits. But it can’t cause the concrete countertop to vibrate, lol, probably no speaker can do that. The bass is very impact while the highs are still not too sharp at the end. The trebles are still crisp and clear. The vocals are clear very words. The loudness is very impressive even though it’s not as great as Tribit StormBox Blast.
However; if you are not favorite the default sound, you can adjust your own sound profile by adjusting EQ on the Soundcore app. The Soundcore app, lets you adjust many basic control functions including firmware updates too.
