Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro — Endorsed by 10 Grammy Award-Winning Artists

The Liberty Air 2 pro-TWS is the upgraded version of the previous Liberty Air 2. With this upgrade, Anker added a customizable ANC function that can assist cut down a huge amount of ambient sound around you.

Otherwise, these earphones have the same design and build as their base variant. They have a bass-heavy sound profile, it can be tweaked using their support App’s graphic EQ or preset as well as comfort fit. For further details let’s jump into the Liberty Air 2 pro review.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review  – Design and Build

The Liberty Air 2 pro has the same look and design as the Liberty Air 2 TWS, thanks to their elegant stem design with a satin finish. Though, besides the small branding name on the outsides of the earphones, they seem fairly nondescript.

They come in 4 different color models if you are looking for something with a bunch of colors. The Liberty Air 2 pro-TWS are well-made and overall, have the same premium build quality as the ear 1 TWS.

They are made of plastic with silicon-like material but look solid enough to withstand accidental drops without any issue.

They are also rated IPX4 water resistance rating same as Sennheiser CX true, though we do not test it yet. That said, the weak point of these earphones is the tips could rip. The lid of the charging case can also break over time.

How about comfort and stability Liberty Air 2 Pro Do?

They’re decently comfortable earphones. Liberty Air 2 pro has the same fit as the Liberty Air 2 TWS model but a slightly more deeply into your ear.

That said, they feel extremely light, and you should not have much of an issue wearing them for long hours at a single session. For a more comfortable pair of in-ear buds, check the JBL Tour Pro+ TWS.

The Liberty Air 2 pro buds are stable and work finely. Once you get a fine seal using one of the several pairs of various sized tips included, they should stay in your ears during run or job.

Though, they lack some stability fins, so they might fall out during an intense physical workout. If you are looking for more stable in-ears, you can try Anker Soundcore Life A2 or Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review – The Sound Performance

The earphones deliver supreme sound quality above what you would expect from the earphone at this price tag. They are bass-heavy on the default EQ, but the overall sound profile is fine and well-suited to a huge range of music genres.

They’ve no issue switching among stomping techno beats, precise classical compositions, and melodic acoustic guitar and handling any musical type with aplomb.

The company has spent a lot of time on the Air 2 Pro Sound drivers too. The 11mm use Anker’s Pure Note Driver System, which delivers a 45 percent boost to your bass and a 30 percent wider frequency bandwidth both of which are apparent anytime you pop them in ears.

The Liberty Air 2 pro earphones have 2 additional functions to boost your listening experience. The first is ANC, which comes in 4 different styles:

  • Indoor
  • Outdoor
  • Custom
  • Transport

The default options are turned to prevent external sound in these surroundings, but the inclusion of a custom noise-canceling dial is a fine touch. There is also a transparency mode, with options to let voices via the buds or completely transparent that allows every ambient noise through.

Figuring out which sound blocking tech suits your environment only takes a movement, and you will find the earphones noise-canceling implementation a heavy competitor to other buds, particularly at this price tag. This makes it the best ANC earbuds under 130 dollars.

Liberty Air 2 Pro Review – Mic Quality

The Anker Liberty Air 2 pro mic quality was another great but not the best one. However; the six built-in microphones do great work for calls. Microphones will never provide the same quality as talking directly into the mic on your device, but some buds do it much better than others.

While testing the call quality, I was pleased to find that they successfully blocked out most of the sound, something my mobile phone can’t do – so that is a big plus.

On the downside, some of the users I called found my voice slightly distant and dull compared to a regular phone call. That said, I was still coming via clarity, and there were no audio glitches or dropouts.

How does the battery life of the Anker Libert Air 2 Pro?

On paper, the Liberty Air 2 pro has a 500mAh battery which lasts for up to 25 plus hours. Sound Core claims that the buds and the case altogether can be charged back up to complete power in 2hrs.

In our testing time, the buds lasted for 5 days with moderate listening. This included attending long phone calls and meeting every day, hours of music, watching a full movie, and some other visual media. I was pretty happy with the performance as this matched the audio hand’s claims more or less.

App Support

After installing the app, fire it up and link your Liberty Air 2 pro buds using Bluetooth. It should only take some time for the app to connect the buds.

Once connected, choose Hear ID and Equalizer than personalize earphones. The app asks how many years young you’re, and then advises you to find q quiet spot to conduct the audio test. The test is the same as an audio medical exam, playing several tones at variable frequencies in the head ID sound profile based upon how your answer.

The complete procedure takes about 3 minutes, showing your results on completion. You can then pair your profile with your favorite music genre to create a wonderful sound profile on completion.

While it sounds slightly gimmicky, the outcome was noticeably clearer, which was great. The ear test picked up several deficiencies in my left ear, adjusted the equalizer accordingly, and gave the Liberty Air 2 pro buds sound profile slightly extra polish.

Equalizer customization features can be quite missing and hit, but the Hear ID of Anker is one worth using. You do not have to pair your Head ID with a specific music genre, either. Sticking with Anker’s Soundcore signature work is just as great, particularly if you listen to a huge range of audio types!

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review – Final words

After a complete Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 review – I found the buds are tougher, cheaper, and more feature-packed than 2nd generation Air Pods and the legit alternative to Apple Air Pods Pro for listeners on a tight budget. Only Apple hardware owners who need to constantly switch between an iPad, iPhone, and Apple Mac should consider Air Pods over the Anker Soundcore offering.
