Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Review

Liberty Air 2 review: Review – Final words

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 review: Four mics are designed for crystal-clear calls. These wireless earbuds allow you to create your sound profile via HearID features. Besides, there are 22 EQ presets. The Liberty Air 2 offers great sound via Diamon-inspired drivers. The earbuds automatically connect to your Bluetooth device when turned on. Playtime is not so good but not so bad; these earbuds offer 7 hours for a single charge and 28 hours with a charging case. All in all, this is great value for money for those who are looking for affordable wireless earbuds with good build and sound quality.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 – True Wireless Earbuds

Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.0 and noise reduction, Charge case support wireless charging, 28 hours playtime (including charge case), fast charging, Voice assistance (Siri and Google)

I believe that cheap wireless earbuds with excellent sound quality and attractive designs for both the earbuds and the charging case are difficult to find. But the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 is a pair of wireless earbuds with an affordable price and quality that exceeds expectations. The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 was released on Amazon.com on May 31, 2019. Until now, they have had more than 3200 reviews, and their score is 4.2 out of 5 (at the time of writing). In this Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 review, we will show you that their price is less than $100, but their performance exceeds that.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 – The Design

Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Review

The other Anker earbuds had a glossy finish, but the Air 2 has a matte black case and is easy to open with just one finger. The earbuds fit perfectly with the magnets that come with the case. But be careful not to drop the case because the magnetic lid may be open and earbuds can splash out of the case due to the small magnets that are not very strong.

Despite their differences from previous models, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 is still mostly plastic in construction and still solid. The design style is teardrop-shaped, which is like the AirPod we are familiar with.

The Size of Liberty Air 2 From Anker Soundcore

Its dimensions of 1.97″ x 2.20″ x 0.98″ are not too big or too small, but it is convenient to pack into your suitcase for traveling or even in your workplace if there is no prohibition from your company.

Fit and Comfortable

When it comes to comfort, the Anker SoundCore Liberty Air2 is decently soft and comfortable. The Liberty Air2 comes with five different sizes of eartips. So, there is a possibility that you can pick one of the five that fits your ears.

Playtime and Battery

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2

Playtime for one charge is up to 7 hours, and the charging case extends it up to 28 hours, that’s more than meets expectations. But they are still inferior to the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro in terms of battery life, which is up to 8 hours, and the charging case can last up to 32 hours. However, the playtime is 7 hours and 3 cycles of charging, which is enough for listening to music all day long.

One more feature that I prefer is Qi-compatible wireless charging and quick charge support. Just 10 minutes can extend the power up to 2 hours.

Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Review – The Sound Quality

Medium-accurate frequency response, great for casual listening. mids to highs, the Liberty Air 2 delivers uneven and slightly muddy. The mid-range voice is a little forward. Nevertheless, the bass sound is punchy and reasonably good. A little adjustment in the Soundcore app will give very impressive audiophiles on both iOS and Android. Most people are also pleased with Soundcore Liberty Air2’s sound. If you like heavy bass, I recommend the Liberty 2 Pro, which offers more punchy bass and dynamic sound but also more weight. However, both (2 Pro and Air 2) do not sound as good as the Sony WF-1000XM3. But you have to pay more for these true wireless earbuds from Sony.

One piece of software that is included with Liberty Air 2 is the Soundcore app, which allows you to customize 22 equalizer settings that can compensate for your hearing profile. Besides, with HearID technology, you can create your personalized sound profile.

Liberty Air 2 Review

HearID is a new technology that summarizes your hearing experience, frequencies, or other factors like age or environment to adjust the sound for your listening. It may take a few minutes until it is complete. But this feature is worth waiting for and is decently effective. You can create a sound profile until you are pleased.

In summary, overall sound quality is good and decent for wireless earbuds under $50, and you can sometimes get a discount.

Liberty Air 2 Review – The Equalizer

One function that is very impressive is that the Liberty Air 2 comes with built-in EQ. Yes! 22 preset equalizer settings, and besides, there is the option to create your profile of sound with a little tweaking of the equalizer manually. This feature works very well, and I so much like it. I don’t think this feature will be available in truly wireless earbuds for less than $50.

Touch control

Liberty Air 2 is one of the few wireless earbuds that come with a touch-control feature. You can control music, call or activate a voice assistant, or power on or off via touch control on earbuds. However, sometimes I feel that the touch system is unstable.
