Cheap wireless earbuds that come with great sound quality and nice design both earbuds and charging case, not easy to find them. But the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 is pair of wireless earbuds that are affordable price and quality that exceeds expectations. The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 released on Amazon.com on May 31, 2019, until now they have more than 3200 reviews and score 4.2 of 5. We will show you in this Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 review come with their price is less than $100 but performance goes beyond far.
Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 – The Design
The other Anker earbuds had a glossy finish, but the Air 2 have a matte black case and is easy to open, just one finger. The earbuds fit perfectly with the magnets that come with the case. But be careful not to drop the case, because the magnetic lid may be open and earbuds can splash out of the case due to it is small magnets and not very strong.
Despite their differences from previous models, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 is still most plastic in construction and still solid. The design style is teardrop shape like Airpod that we have familiar with.
The Size of Liberty Air 2 From Anker Soundcore
Its dimension 1.97″ x 2.20″ x 0.98″, is not too big and not too small, but it is convenient to pack into your suitcase for traveling or even in your workplace if no prohibit from your company.
Fit and Comfortable
When it comes to comfortable, the Anker SoundCore Liberty Air2 is decently soft and comfortable. The Liberty Air2 comes with 5 different sizes of ear-tips. So, there is a possibility that you can pick one of five that fit your ears.
Playtime and Battery
Playtime for one charge up to 7 hours and the charging case extent it up to 28 hours, that’s more surpass expectations. But they are still inferior to the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro in terms of battery which up to 8 hours and with the charging case can run last up to 32 hours. However; the playtime 7 hours and more 3 cycles of charging case that enough for listening to music all day long.
One more feature that I prefer, Qi-compatible wireless charge and also quick charge support: 10-minute extend the power up to 2-hours.
Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Review – The Sound Quality
Medium accurate frequency response, great for casual listening. Mid to high, the Liberty Air 2 delivers uneven and slightly muddy. The mid-range voice s a little forward. Nevertheless, the bass sound is punchy and reasonably quite good. A little adjustment in the Soundcore app will give very impressive audiophiles both iOS and Andriod. Most people are also pleased with Soundcore Liberty Air2’s sound. If you like heavy bass, I recommend the Liberty 2 Pro offers more punchy bass and dynamic sound, but more weight too. However; both (2 Pro and Air 2) do not sound as good as the Sony WF-1000XM3. But you have to pay more for these true wireless earbuds from Sony.
One software that is included with Liberty Air 2, the Soundcore application allows you to customize 22 equalizer settings that can compensate for your hearing profile. Besides, HearID technology that you can create your own personalized sound profile.
HearID is a new technology that summarizes your hearing experience, frequencies, or other factors like age or environment to adjust the sound for your listening. It maybe take a few minutes until complete. But this feature is worth waiting for and is decently effective. You can create a sound profile until you are pleased.
In summary, overall sound quality is good and decent for wireless earbuds under 100 and sometimes get a discount.
Liberty Air 2 Review – The Equalizer
One function that is very impressive, the Liberty Air 2 comes with built-in EQ. Yes! 22 preset equalizer settings and besides, there is the option to create your own profile of sound by a little tweaking the equalizer manually. This feature works very well and I so much like it. I don’t think this feature will be in truly wireless earbuds for less than 100 bucks.
Liberty Air 2 is one of the few wireless earbuds that come with the touch control feature on the earbuds. You can control music, call or activate voice assistant even, or power on/off via touch control on earbuds. However; sometimes I feel that the touch system is unstable.
