The newest pair of headphones from Anker’s brand, Soundcore Life Q35, comes with multi-mode active noise cancellation. These ANC headphones have full of feature-packed and also support LDAC hi-fi audio. Most important they are not too expensive with the price you can buy. How these over-ear ANC headphones do the job? Let’s go to the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 review detail.

The Design

Anker Life Q35 review

The overall construction is plastic, except the headband is metal padding with extreme soft padding. Both right and left earcups are also padded with memory foam that gives a soft and comfortable for a long session wearing. The headphones didn’t create any squeeze on my head and that is why I like the Soundcore Life QC35. However; this is my private feeling that depends on the shape and size of each person’s head.

Thanks to the design of the tilt-adjustable earcups, swivel, and also headband adjustable, which allows the headphones fit and comfortably on your head. Moreover; the Anker Life QC35 is also foldable earcups and easily to keep in the hard shell that comes within the package. When it comes to the carrying case, it’s nice and soft-touch material on the outside, and I like it.

The Anker Life Q35 ้has added the wearing detection features, which means the music will automatically pause when removing the headphones from your head and auto-play if you wear the headphones again.

Soundcore Anker Life Q35 Review with the Control

Nothing changes, the control buttons are placed on both left and right earcups. The right earcups have play/pause and volume controls (double pressing to skip to the next or previous track). The left earcup is a position of ANC and power buttons.

The Active Noise Cancelling & Transparent

Anker Life Q35 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones

The Anker Soundcore release Life Q30 with prodigious changes in active noise cancellation features. But the new release like Anker Life Q35 is still continuously developing in terms of ANC and transparent features. These great over-ear headphones under 150 do great noise cancellation performance with three modes selectable, indoor, outdoor, and transport. Each mode offers a different performance of the ANC level.

When turning on ANC mode, I feel the bass is more clear. The Life Q35 does a good job, it can mostly block out the background noise. I felt a noticeably quieter noise cars engine and traffic.

Don’t worry you will miss something important announcements at the airport or train station. The Soundcore’s Anker Life Q35 also comes with a transparent mode that allows you better awareness of your surroundings.

Easily to switch between ANC and transparent mode, you just press and hold on the right earcup’s touchpad for a second.

Anker Life Q35 Review – Sound Quality

The main part that doesn’t miss, the sound quality. With 40mm silk diaphragm driver is the same as the old model, the Life Q30. Nevertheless the Life Q35 compact with LDAC for hi-res wireless audio technology, which is competent in streaming higher-resolution audio than standard Bluetooth codec. And the overall sound quality is not decreasing.

The overall sound quality is well more than the price point. The bass is deep and strong. Sometimes the bass is too more and probably offers a little muddy of the high frequency. Also sometimes the bass does not get in the way. In the heavy bass genres song, the drums probably drown out the treble like guitars. The mids are very clear and clean as well as the highs are decent clarity. However; the lows, mids, and highs you can tweak setting in the EQ via App. So, if you want a more neutral sound you can adjust the setting in the App.

The Soundcore App

Soundcore Anker Life Q35

The Soundcore app is an easy-to-use headphones app. The user interface is simple and easy to use, so you can get into all headphones’ features and tweak the sound setting. Including updating firmware on the fly via this app.

With the App, you can fully customizable EQ and also with 22 presets that provide for cover all genres of song.

Anker Life Q35 Review – Call Quality

The Anker Life Q35 is several great features like Bluetooth 5.0 (the range up to almost 50 feet as the company claims), NFC pairing, and multipoint technology (capable of simultaneously pairing two devices and switching between them on the fly).

However; when it’s come to the call quality, honestly it’s mediocre. I can feel and hear the other voice quite a clarity indoors or in the home. But I took out to outdoor and receive the call with the Life Q35, I truly admit, I have to struggle with noise to hear what’s the other side talking. But not too bad. II am still able to communicate and understand what the other person is saying. Thanks to AI-enhanced call technology.

Anker Life Q30 Review – Long Battery Life

Soundcore Anker Life Q35 review

As their specs, the Anker Life Q30 offers 40 hours of playtime with turn-on active noise-canceling and up to 60 hours when turning off this feature.

This is very long playtime and also with the fast charging feature, you will get additional power of up to 5 hours for 5 minutes charging. Besides, you can save power with the wearing detection feature. It auto-pauses when to take off the headphones and auto-resume when placing them back again.

One thing that lacks and I hope the company will put this feature into the next-gen headset. That is supporting wireless charging.

Anker Life Q35 Review – Pros & Cons

In terms of sound performance, build quality, softness & comfortable, and even noise cancellation, the Bose 700, Bose QC45, or Sony WH-1000XM4 from Sony are still group leaders. Even though compared to the previous model of these expensive headphones such as Sony WH-1000XM3, Bose QC 35 ii, hardly a chance to beat as well. So, you should not high expect them to for this price tag. Nevertheless, the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 still has several good things and a few drawbacks that you should know.

  • Three-modes active noise cancellation/transparent
  • Support LDAC code
  • Great battery life
  • Wearing detection
  • Multi-point connection
  • 22 preset EQ

  • Mediocre call quality
  • The bass is too more and probably a little muddy

Anker Life Q35 Review – Final Verdict

In the Soundcore Anker Life Q35 review, I have to say that the ANC feature is so good, and the sound quality is quite good (if you are not a truly audiophile). They also support LDAC for hi-res wireless audio that obviously improves the sound quality. One thing that I like and Anker additional developed from Q30 is a wearing-detection feature. All playtime is great, they can do as they claim that is up to 40 hours on ANC mode.

Before the end, you should buy one? The answer is not the same for everyone and difficult to answer clearly that yes or no. But for me don’t disappoint to buy the Anker Life Q35. I so much like it
