Anker SoundCore Life Q30 Review

Anker SoundCore Life Q30 Review

The Anker Life Q30 (model A3028 by SoundCore) is an affordable pair of over-ear headsets from a budget brand. Priced under 80, the Anker Life Q30 is the 2nd most expensive pair in the brand’s ANC range more than Anker Life Q20, we found during our Anker Soundcore Life Q30 review, the sound quality is very decent but quite hitting the target set or itself.

These headphones also have a hybrid active noise cancelation with Bluetooth 5.0 technology, 40 mm dynamic drivers, and a long-lasting 40hrs batter life.

Anker Life Q30 Review – The Design

Anker Life Q30 Review

The Anker Q30 is rather basic in terms of designs, but an attractive pair of over-ear headphones under 80 nevertheless. The exterior is matte black, while the logo mark is adorned on-ear cups.

They are a comfortable pair of attire with a headband pliable and very adjustable with plenty of padding material included on the soft protein leather ear pads. Despite their bulky look, the headsets are amazingly lightweight.

The charging port is situated on the left ear cup, while the right side houses the controls that include the skip/volume keys, a multi-feature button for voice assistance and power, ANC, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Anker SoundCore Life Q30 Review – Comfort

feel the comfort with Life Q30

Comfort level is another one of those exceptionally vital features that a lot of people interested in. Mostly, find them reluctant to put on their headsets because of sore ears and head pain. If you are somebody who loves to wear your headphones for a long time on end, this feature should be top near the top of your list.

Fortunately, the Anker Life Q30 headphones do a fine job on the comfort side. The headset pads are relatively thick and made of very soft material that’s long-lasting and durable.

How The Sound Quality Of SoundCore Anker Life Q30?

Soundcore Anker Life Q30 review

These headphones offer fine audio for an affordable pair of headphones, and they can handle a number of genres. The tinkling keys in North Dakota are very crisp and well defined, able to stand out beside the rumbly low end.

Treble and bass compete equally viciously in Hunter, with the drums and bass in particular producing a well-detailed performance at the starting of the track.

While the midrange normally holds its own, it can last up obscured by the lows and highs during the more climatic parts of the track.

The song Time paints, a similarly dynamic image, with a defined stereo picture and plenty of room for the instrument and breath. Once again, the vocals can get lose in the pounding low and highs and I almost want the lows would provide a more detailed definition.

These pair of headphones offer a fine dynamism and well detail for their price, but the tonal balance leaves something to desire.

Anker Life Q30 Hybrid Active Noise-Canceling

Soundcore Anker Life Q30

The Anker Life Q30 uses ANC. With the ANC feature like in TaoTronics SoundLiberty 94 and TREBLAB Z2, you can enjoy your music in peace. But, you can’t expect the Q30’s ANC to be as great as hi-end headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM4 or Bose 700 noise-canceling. However; this feature makes the Anker Life Q30 a very fine choice for noisy areas like gyms and busy offices in a price tag under $80. You can block out a few of the additional noise, focus, and do your things.

While testing them out for many days, we felt like the ANC function worked well. The capability to drown out unwanted background sound seemed to carry a day and night difference in sound performance.

It is a bit hard to explain, but the sound almost looks to become deeper and more pronounced, almost if you close the doors to your rooms to block out the noises. Clarity was very much increased and the bass looked to resonate a bit bitter – surely a huge difference over a usual pair of headsets.

SoundCore Anker A3028 – Call Quality

For the price under 80$ and with a dual microphone of Life Q30, I feel not impressed. Call quality is not a strong point of SoundCore Life Q30. When I was on the call with a friend, he complained that I sounded far away and then he’d hear a lot of wind as I walked the streets. While the microphone is not necessarily great, it gets the job done for rapid calls.

So the phone call quality is not stellar for Q30 and I give 3 points of 5 for this feature.

Life Q30 Review – Final words

Overall, after the Anker SoundCore Life Q30 review, we found these headphones are nearly perfect. But they’re closed to high-end ANC headphones as you’re likely to get this wonderful price tag. The design is good and lightweight, the fit is comfortable for the wide majority of the users.

However; if your point is call quality, the Life Q30 is not ideal for you.
