When talking about best over-ear under 150, the TREBLAB Z2 in one of the lists always. Why? Let’s see why the TREBLAB Z2 is one of the favorite over-ear headphones is a favorite of many people. They are neat and beautiful design in black color style with various features which we mention in this TREBLAB Z2 review.
The Great Design of Z2
Pure black design with engraved pattern logo on the outside of both earcups and sturdy. Someone says that the logo on the side of earcups is too big, but I don’t’ think so. The material most of the plastic except for the sliders on a headband, which are brushed aluminum and earcups which stuffed with a super soft sponge. This helps for a long session wearing without pain. Personally, these over-ear headphones look presentable and style.
Besides, both earcups swivel 90 degrees to make it more convenient to pack them into the carrying case.
The headband looks good built and wide and also nicely padded. So I do not feel too much stress on the top of my head. With soft padded of both earcups which fit on my ears contour, allowing me to listen to music comfortably for hours without fatigue on my ears
Connectivity and Controls
Button for controlling the volume (up/down), power (on/off), and playing sit on the right side. Include aux port, and charge port are here as well. The other, active noise cancellation function and a mic sit on the side of the left earcup.
TREBLAB Z2 Review – The Sound
When it comes to sound quality, the first thing that I impressed with the Z2, it produces well-balanced bass and smooth mids. I can hear the cleary bass and not muddy.
The treble is bright. The sound is quite better with a little turned up the volume. The low volumes, the TREBLAB Z2 produce the sound of the music is just too subdued.
The TREBLAB Z2 Bluetooth over-ear headphones come with 40mm dynamic neodymium drivers that support hyper-HD sound codec aptX high performance. These offer the sound all-around experience.
All in all, the sound quality of the Z2 is better than the price tag, clarity sound, vibrant highs with smooth mids, and well-balanced bass.
TREBLAB Z2 – Active Noise Cancellation
Active noise cancellation features to reduce background noise. The TREBLAB Z2 ANC headphones can reduct noise quite well. Although it is still not perfect, it can not block all sounds from a noisy environment. I still hear the voice of my dog, although the sound feels from so distance. With the ANC on, you still hear the voice of the announcement, but not very clear. Nevertheless, the ANC feature at this price range is decent and similar when compared to Anker Soundcore Life Q20 or Mpow H10 models. We can’t expect great ANC as well as high-end ANC headphones like Bose 700, Sony WH-1000XM3 or Bose QC35 ii.
You can use the ANC feature in both Bluetooth mode and line-in mode. And of course, Bluetooth mode uses more power, which is normally. But don’t worry because the Z2 comes with long battery life.
The Battery Life
The company claimed that the TREBLAB Z2 can play 35 hours on a single charge. I feel that it is so close. I remember that, last charge around a week ( I use the Z2 about 3-5 hours per day). Anyone who loves listening to music and use wireless headphones knows that one of the most important things is the playtime of battery. Some brands of wireless headphones have a little playtime just only 5 – 7 hours. But for the TREBLAB Z2 is not, you can use them for several days before recharge.
Water-Resistant
In the specification’s TREBLAB Z2, IPX4 rating of water-resistant, that means it might not be waterproof or a little waterproof. Not recommended for walking through the hard rain or wear while taking a shower. IPX4 means can just a little touch water for example; “water splashes while washing hands or brushing teeth”. The TREBLAB says that Z2 is headsets great for working out. I don’t think so if you are who is very heavy sweat, you should not use it for working out or running. Because the body wet with very sweat may make the perfectly good pair of headphones be damage.
