Mixcder E9 review – Wireless ANC Headphones

Mixcder E9 Review – Short words

Mixcder E9 review: if you’re looking for great headphones without a huge price tag, the Mixcder E9 ANC Bluetooth headphones are worth the price. The sound quality and noise cancellation are decent and good for this price tag. Their comfortable is so good and can wear them for hours without fatigue.

Mixcder E9 Active Noise Cancelling

wireless, over-ear, Bluetooth 5.0 (support aptXHD/AAC/SBC codec), active noise canceling, foldable design, adjustable headband, good sound quality, playtime: up to 60 hours, fast charge: 5 minutes get 2 hours

When Mixcder released the E7 model, critics gave mixed reviews about E7, and most of the reviews ended up being quite positive. Now that the Mixcder E7 is out and I could not wait to try it. I wonder how the brand’s latest wireless, ANC headsets model will compare to its predecessor. And quite frankly, after the Mixcder E9 review, I was blown away! Let’s jump into the details.

Mixcder E9 Review – Design and build quality

The design of the Mixcder E9 model is quite compact. The folding system of earpads makes it very convenient to carry around. The variant case that comes within the box has premium quality and holds the headsets safely.

The earpads are quite comfortable, and I could not feel any pressure or pain wearing them. The physical buttons are large and easy to press these control buttons. The power button is also used to play/pause and also get a call as well. The plus (+) button and minus (-) button are used for volume up and down. Besides, holding these buttons will skip and backward the track too. There is a dedicated ANC switch on the left cup.

Though, the question that worried me may be the build quality. It is fine to see an adjustable headband that has fine quality, but as it is an extended section, I doubt that it’d last long. The foam on-ear pads are quite smooth, but the issue is they do not look durable to me.

They do not have a super finish that I noticed in other models. The outer texture of the E9 has a plastic feel, so I doubt its durability. Moreover, it is not graded for waterproofing too. To sum up, I would say it might withstand certain drops and might live long without fixing the head strap broadly.

Mixcder E9 Review – Sound performance

Mixcder E9 tries to please your ears with a 40mm high-range driver on each side. These dynamic 40mm sound drivers promise a very low latency of 34ms on the specification sheet. In the software section, there’s the support of aptX, ACC, and aptX Low latency for enhanced sound performance at a distance.

In the actual world, this Mixcder E9 headphones sound impressive, particularly when considering they fall in the budget section. During my experience, E9 was capable to separate the sound of different instruments quite really well, which I guess is a plus point in the audio department.

The bass is Thumpy enough, and you will enjoy different variations with ease. But one would still realize that an additional punch is missing in the package. So, it might not be a perfect option for those seeking heavy bassy headphones.

Performance-wise there does not look to be any noticeable lag while watching films. Though, there looks to be some sound popping when the audio is paused or played. It also occurs when the headset’s voice feedbacks play. It appears that something getting activated and after that deactivated during the procedure.

Mixcder E9 Active Noise Canceling Headphones

Speaking of the active noise-canceling headphones under 100, the company promises to eliminate almost 96 percent of the ambient sound. For that, these E9 headphones utilize the ANC v4 chip and a bundle of noise-canceling mics onboard.

When the ANC feature is enabled, there is a small pressure felt in the ears. While it’d be hard to spit the right percentage, the ANC works just great in several situations. For example, it was capable to kick out the sound of my desktop fan by a decent margin.

One thing I noticed was the lack of additional crispiness/clarity in the sound when the ANC feature was enabled. But this thing makes the slightest contribution to the complete listening experience.

Mixcder E9 ANC headphones look to show a performance enhancement when utilized in a wired mode. It occurred that I mostly went for the AUX wire when using them on my PC.

In the wired mode, the sound performance gets amplified when you switch on the ANC but looks to take away some crispiness. One might seem that an additional distortion if the bass is very deep. I did not notice the sound pop that was present when MIXCDER E9 is in wireless mode.

All in all, the Micder E9 provides a good overall sound quality as well as their ANC is quite decent as well.

One important that can affect my purchase decision is comfy. Here a lot of it’s offered by the memory foam present in the cushions. While wearing the E9 for around 4-5 hours each day, I did not feel any irritation or pain because of the frame getting squeezed among my head and the ear cup.

Though, there is still a slight clamping force that is acceptable. Though, this experience varies from person to person.
