When we use Anker SoundCore Life Q20 for around 2 weeks, we were very impressed with them. Hence; I write the Anker SoundCore Life Q20 review to share our positive experiences and a bit of flaw.

SoundCore Life Q20 Review – The Design

The Life Q20 design the padded headband adjustable and foldable earcups including able to swivel up to 90-degrees. Due to the foldable design, you can put it into a backpack and also they come with a long-life battery over 35 hours (ANC on). So, the SoundCore Life Q20 headsets are perfect for travel.

Comfort

The padding foam earcups fit and are soft comfortable around my ears. I use these headphones for several hours continuously during flight without any fatigue and pain, and not discomfort.

Device control – Easy & Friendly

The power button is on the left earcup. If you long-press the power button will be turned on Bluetooth and automatic pairing. The next button of the left earcup is a headphone’s noise cancellation mode, which Anker claim that the SoundCore Life Q20 is designed to cut off up to 90% of low and mid-frequency of noise like airplanes or car engine. Other control buttons sit on the right earcup, volume control which separates increases (+) and decreases (-). The play, stop and call control button sits on the middle button between the +/- volume button.

Next from the volume adjust button, Micro-USB charging port, and the 3.5mm aux port provides you still continuously enjoy and keep music still playing when the battery is low.

SoundCore Life Q20 – The sound

The sound performance is good, clear, and balanced. These over-ear Bluetooth headphones emphasize lower note in the sound profile. The company says that “100% Stronger Bass”, I think they said the truth but not all. With the BassUp technology of Anker, make this hybrid active noise-canceling headphones give a strong bass sound but lack a clear definition. But my favorite, I feel like the sound in normal modes is greater and so cool.

Overall, active noise canceling of SoundCore Life Q20 passes in basic. They can block out the noise of the roaring engine of airplanes. These sorts of lower noises are almost no hearing when you open the noise cancellation function even you are music off, and once you turn on the music they become block these noises completely.

One of the flaws of SounCore Life Q20’s ANC is that are on call. You still can hear a thin noise from people around you when they are talking. But the sound is very thin until you can ignore it.

From the Anker SoundCore Life Q20 review, I dare not to say that these over-ear headphones are the best ANC headphones and they still can’t compare with the leader in active noise-canceling headphones like Sony WH-1000XM3 or Bose QuietComfort 45. But the advantage is they come at a price below $ 60 which is perhaps the best cheap ANC headphones. With many features of them such as BassUp, ANC, 40 – 60 hours of playtime, soft and comfortable with memory foam earcups, Hi-Res audio, hybrid ANC, crystal-clear calls, and Bluetooth 5.0 which can give me confidence that this is a great noise-canceling headset at a fair price.
