HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless

Wireless, extremely comfortable, maximum playtime of up to 30 hours,  durable design, a detachable noise-canceling mic, red LED light, adjustable steel slider headband

No Gamers probably don’t know Hyperx Gaming Headphones. The HyperX stays in the mind of most gamers for a long time. Why? Those HyperX Gaming headsets are quite built quality and good audio performance, plus the price is attractive, and not too expensive when compared to their overall quality. The design is also pleasing to gamers including me. Today, I will recommend the HyperX Cloud Flight gaming headset to those who are looking for a new pair of gaming headsets. How about this item, let’s go to the detail of the HyperX Cloud Flight review.

HyperX Cloud Flight Review – The Design

At first glance, the overall design is HyperX’s style. The black is major and a bit red on the logo “HX” on the outside of both earcups and the cable connects between the earcups and headband, which looks striking against the black.

The control buttons are placed on the left earcups, including a power button, micro USB port (for charging), audio port (3.5mm), and the removable noise-canceling mic slot. For a quick mic toggle, by pressing on the left panel on the earcup which is very handy.

On the right earcup, there is a volume wheel to control the volume. It’s quite sensitively and easily to adjust the volume by accident or mistake. So, this will should take a little time to used to. Which it’s might feel annoying at the beginning before accustomed.

One thing is good, the earcup is also can rotate 90-degree, that can rest comfortably around the neck during breaks.

The Comfortable

The HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless is designed for an extremely comfortable long gaming session. The earcups are padded with a soft cushion and covered with faux leather that perfect fit for my ears. Thanks to the closed-back design and the large-diameter driver (50mm), which is the whole cover on my ears very well blocks outside noise. The under of the headband is padded with a soft cushion which is soft feeling and not fatiguing on my head even though I will be wearing this wireless gaming headset and playing the game for a long session. Besides, the core of the headband is made of steel which is a slider that means adjustable.

In terms of the comfortable, the HyperX Cloud Flight has not defeated other wireless gaming headsets at this price tag.

Detachable Noise Cancellation Microphones

When it comes to mic quality, it’s pretty plain. Nevertheless; there are not any complaints about volume or speech clarity while on calls together or on the team talking. The mic is a detachable design. But it can’t flip, which is one of the flaws and not handy. A detachable microphone might be lost as well.

HyperX Cloud Flight Review – Sound Performance

The HyperX Cloud Flight comes with a standard 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. But beyond that, they have 50mm Neodymium drivers which deliver a good enough experience for gaming. The specifying positioning and direction of the HyperX Cloud Flight are well done but a bit different from wired gaming headsets. However; I play the PUBG, which can specific the footstep sound. I can feel the sound of feet walking up the stairs, and how approach us, which feels very real.

Unfortunately, these wireless gaming headphones are not a 7.1 surround sound, it is stereo sound. So, the sound effects of games maybe not be as exciting and realistic as Sennheiser GSP 670 EPOS I or SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC. However; both are fairly more expensive than the HyperX Cloud Flight. Another one of the HyperX gaming headsets that have 7.1 surround sound features is the Cloud Flight S, but there are more a bit expensive.

Battery Life

One of the incredible highlights of these wireless gaming headsets is they provide a very long life battery up to 30 hours. And of course, this great feature will extend your enjoyment of gaming continually and longer.

To take full advantage of its long battery life, should turn off both the LED light and breathing effect. The Cloud Flight’s lights and breathing effect are what make it extremely wasteful of energy. But it makes playing games more enjoyable and exciting.

On testing, I turn off the LED light and can get about 26 hours approx.

HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless – Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Supreme comfortable cushions and headband for a long gaming session
  • Good battery life

Cons

  • There is no 7.1 surround sound
  • The material is plastic, which feels a pretty cheap

HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Review – Final Verdict

Thanks for reading the HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless review until the end of the review. Although the Cloud flight wireless is not the best gaming headset. But it’s good enough for general gameplay such as Fortnite, ROV, or even PubG Mobile. These gaming headsets are also compatible with various gaming platforms, whether is Windows, Macs, or smartphones including game consoles like PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
