HyperX Cloud Stinger Review – Sum Up

HyperX Cloud String review: These wired gaming headsets, HyperX Cloud Stringer is affordable and they have decent sound quality at their price. They are fairly comfortable for long periods playing games. They offer good game experiences but not good as EOPS I Sennheiser GSP 670 which is much more expensive. So, if you are not willing to pay around $300 to get your own Sennheiser GSP 670. The HyperX Cloud Stringer gaming headsets under $50 are an ideal option for you.

There are a lot of gaming headsets out there that provide the best possible gaming experience. However, one of the best and a pretty cheap you can find in the market is the HyperX Cloud Stinger You might be wondering “why the HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset?”

Let’s take a look at the HyperX Cloud String review.

HyperX Cloud Stinger – Wired Gaming Headset

HyperX Cloud String review

We have to start by saying to the guys that Kingston really came through with this one. The HyperX Cloud gaming headset is a well-designed above-average headset that provides crisp gaming sound quality and enough class that it’s wearable outdoors.

Spotting a nice finish and sturdy look, the cloud Stinger headset is a comfortable wired headphone that is well suited to gaming and watching movies thanks to impressive sound quality.

Boasting big 50 mm drivers, efficient surround sound capability, and a noise-canceling microphone.  These gaming headset s provide an impressive comfort level and works seamlessly with a series of major gaming platforms, including mobile, PC/Mac, PS4, and the Xbox One (using an adaptor).

Design

Cloud II is a stylish one. It features metal forks on either side to connect its leatherette-coated band and ear cups which makes this gaming headset comfortable to wear for your long gaming sessions.

Although it features an efficient gaming control scheme, they are not versatile enough to use on your phone.

The design is also a bit too cumbersome for carrying around for everyday use but they are good for casual music listening and gaming.

However; the Stinger Cloud from HyperX is also designed to be a foldable and 90-degree rotating and adjustable steel slider. Beyond this, the noise-canceling mic can also flip-to-mute feature which gives additional handy.

Sound

The HyperX Cloud Stinger provides a nice-sounding pair of ear cups. These cups provide deep hard-hitting bass.

However;  Cloud Stinger is a not-so-good treble performance, which lacks in detail and sometimes gets too sharp on S and T sounds.

Isolation

The HyperX Cloud Stinger is a closed-back headset, which means it creates quite a good seal around the ears that help to stop sound leakages and high-frequency sound from sneaking into your sound.

However, since they perform passive noise isolation, they sometimes find it hard to detect low-frequency sounds like the rumbles created in the subways. So, it’s better used in quieter areas in your room or office.

Comfort

HyperX Cloud String Gaming Headset

When it comes to comfort, the HyperX Cloud Stinger might be the most comfortable gaming headset you will ever put on. Using a perfect blend of feathery 9.7 ounces construction, memory foam ear cups, and headband, this gaming headset never gave the need to take off the headset over three days of frequent use.

Its ear-cans sit comfortably on the ears and will never feel too tight. Should in case you are not satisfied with the default ear-cup covers, the HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset comes with a similarly cozy plush version. So, feel free to switch it out.

Control

The HyperX Cloud Stinger headsets feature an intuitive control scheme that is mainly focused on gamers.

The control system sees it uses an amp USB sound card to provide you with full control over the volume and mic level. Moreover, its advanced digital signal processing sound card will provide exceptional microphone noise cancellation.

It also has a surround sound button to activate Dolby 7.1 feature.

Since the buttons are relatively flat, they require some time to get used to. However, they assure quick response and ease of use.

One feature I love about the Hyperx Amp™ is custom-tuned virtual 7.1 surround sound. Very convenient and keep your controls close. Hence; you can easily adjust audio and mic volume and also disable the mic with your fingers.

Microphone

The enhanced noise-canceling microphone can swivel to mute.

When used in a quiet environment, the sounds recorded with the Cloud Stinger microphone are well detailed, full, and natural. It is also designed to swivel to mute the mic.

In noisy areas, the microphone performed great, showing its ability to identify speech from noise with useful from noise-canceling features.
