Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Review – Gaming Headsets

Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Review – Final words

Corsair Virtuoso RGB SE review: This is a complete gaming headset with fully functional, and beautiful design. The Corsair Virtuoso RGB supports hi-res audio (up to 24bit/96kHz) playback and has a sound output range of 20 to 40kHz, with a stylish design that is nice in fashionable and gaming headphones design. 7.1 surround technology offer pretty accurate sound for gaming headsets. I feel the softness and comfortable long session listening without any fatigue my ears, due to premium memory foam earpads and a pillow-soft headband. This helps reduce the pressure on my temples and head.

Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Gaming Headphones:

7.1 Surround sound with broadcast-quality mic, low latency audio, strong wireless connection
battery life: up to 20H, compatible: PC/Xbox One/PS4/Nintendo Switch/mobile, high fidelity sound

The Corsair Virtuoso Wireless SE is a decent-quality gaming headset. They have an understated and premium design that is a lot less flashy than several other gaming headphones, with a subtle RGB Corsair logo on every ear cup. They feel quite decent-built but unfortunately, they are not the most comfortable and likely can cause little fatigue after long gaming sessions.

On the upside, during Corsair Virtuoso wireless SE review we found their wireless latency is good with their included dongle and they can even utilize wired by plugging them into the controller of either Xbox One or PS4.  Their microphone performance is great, though transmitted speech might lack some details.

Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Review – Design and Comfort

Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Review

The Corsair Virtuoso wireless SE gaming headset has a straightforward but premium design. They are less flashy than other gaming headphones, with silver and black color schemes. While they are quite huge, they are not as bulky as several other gaming headphones.

The Corsair Virtuoso headsets have good build quality. They are made from fine quality and dense plastic, while there is metal in the headband. The Corsair Virtuoso SE model also has a brushed aluminum finish on the ear cups. Both the headband and cups are padded with good-feeling faux leather that provides them an all-around premium feel.

They should be capable to withstand some accidental drops or bumps without sustaining very much damage. The headphone features aluminum ear cups and a padded black headband. These wireless gaming headsets also have plush foam cups, a flexible, detachable microphone, and a rather fancy-looking carrying case.

The headphone is a gorgeous device, and you can even fold the cups flat to stash them in a backpack. The Corsair Virtuoso is decently comfortable, but not the best one. The padded headband and soft notches make it simple to find a nice fit and keep it even on both sides.

Then, there’re the big ear cups, which cushioned ears without ever pressing down too hard on them or making them little sweat. I wore the headphone for hours while gaming, watching films, and talking to friends, and I never had to take them off until it was out of battery life.

Corsair Virtuoso SE Review – The Sound Quality

7.1 surround sound gaming headsets

The Corsair Virtuoso SE offers pretty accurate sound for gaming headphones with the help of 7.1 surround sound. There is nothing here that so far out of whack that it’d seriously impact the average listening experience. Though this is hardly a headphone for someone cashing a decently accurate audio quality.

There is notable nothing emphasis in the mid and bass ranges around 200 to 100Hz respectively, at points reaching up to 5dB – usually considered about a 50 percent boost in volume. There is also a pretty pronounced de-emphasis in the top end. These are not as big a deal – though – plenty of headsets do this to avoid natural resonances in the ear.

They have a dip in low-mid which pushes back lead instruments and some vocals, so they perform quite dark and mightn’t be the best choice for more vocal-centric audio like podcasts. It is worth noting that due to their strong mediocre frequency response consistency, you might experience differences in their sound performance depending on their fit.

Luckily, their companion software provides a graphic EQ as well as presets so that you can tweak its sound and audio to your liking.

How Battery Life the Corsair Virtuoso SE Offers?

Since it’s a wireless headset, battery performance is something to be looked at. In this department, too, the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Headphone shines. On a single charge, the headset provides 20hrs of wireless use. The headset also comes with a smart monitoring feature based on accelerometers that conserves energy when you remove the headset.

What kinds of games are ideal?

Corsair Virtuoso SE - Best Wireless Gaming Headsets

I am pleased to report that it is back to its full fighting strength with this Corsair gaming headset. The rich nuanced sound is fantastic, particularly in games. I tested the headset with Doom Eternal, Age of Empires III, Final Fantasy, PUBG, FORTNITE, and Resident Evil. The headphones are adapted to render explosions, gunshots, music, footsteps, dialogue, and all in between.

I was highly impressed with the headphone in these games, where the sound, dialogues, gunshots, and enemy’s fire were always clean and clear, making them the best wireless gaming headsets under 250. The headphone also brought forth the elegant score of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the Play Station 5.
