Ortizan X10 Portable Bluetooth Speaker review: The Ortizan X10 is a decent all-around portable Bluetooth speaker that is cheap, has good build quality, has decent sound performance, and is affordable. It has a 24-watt power output, which is loud enough for a small party. The design is small and easily portable, making it ideal for on-the-go use. It is not a burden of weight or size. The battery life is quite good; 30 hours is pretty acceptable and long enough for all-day listening.
Ortizan X10 Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Bluetooth 5.3 (work range: 66 feet without obstacle), 24W loud stereo sound (2 x 12W), 360° sound, waterproof rating: IPX7, RGB lights show (rainbow), support wireless stereo pairing, support voice assistant: Siri/Google Assistant, playtime: 30 hours, powerful bass, 3 EQ effects, built-in microphone for hands-free calling
Portable Bluetooth speakers have grown quickly in the past decade. Also, because it is highly competitive, many portable Bluetooth speakers on the market provide cheap prices and better quality. Although well-known name brands such as Bose or Marshall speakers deliver excellent sound quality but are more expensive, they may cost more than 200 USD too. In the economic downturn during this time, we don’t need to pay this expensive price. Cheap portable Bluetooth speakers may be good options, even though they may not be as good. But the Ortizan X10 portable Bluetooth speaker is one of the best choices and is trending. It’s quite affordable and is also currently labeled “Amazon’s Choice.” It’s also a top pick for portable Bluetooth speakers under $40. In the Ortizan X10 portable Bluetooth speaker review, we will search for how good it is and why it is one of the latest trending speakers.
The Ortizan X10 comes in a cylindrical shape, similar to the Miatone Boombox or Treblab HD77 portable speakers. The good weight is around 1 pound; it’s not too heavy to carry. Its size can be held in one hand, even if it’s a woman’s small hand. It has a solid feel and looks nice when it’s in my hand. The materials feel good; they’re mostly made of woven fabric and tough plastic. There are five touch buttons on the side to control everything. You can control your music playback, calls, volume, EQ music effects, lighting, and voice assistant.
On both sides of the speakers, there are dual passive radiators with RGB-colored light. That enhances the enjoyment of listening to music at a private party in the evening or at night.
In addition to Bluetooth connections, you can also listen to music from an external source like a TF or Micro SD card. Yes, there is a TF/Micro SD card slot, an auxiliary port, and a charging port. They stay in a secure place underneath a completely enclosed rubber sheet to prevent dust and water.
According to its specs, the Ortizan X10 has IPX7 waterproof features. So it can withstand snow, water spills, dust, or even heavy rain. So these portable Bluetooth speakers under $40 are ideal for poolside parties, and don’t worry about their damage from water spills. I tried using Ortizan X10 while showering; it’s fantastic. The speaker can be wet and have no problems. All functions are still doing good work. An IPX7 waterproof rating can withstand submerging in water up to 3 feet deep for 30 minutes. But I’m not daring enough to test it in the 3-foot-deep water. And it’s not recommended that you try it except if it was an accident.
When talking about how it’s durable in other aspects, such as impact resistance or durability of the internal circuit, at this time, I still can’t tell. It has to take longer to test this. Although it is designed to be impact-resistant (shockproof), I use it carefully and haven’t dropped it yet. But in a personal sense, the overall material should be quite strong and durable. Tactile buttons feel durable and easy to press.
This cheap portable speaker is great for outdoor activities; don’t worry about the weather. If you are looking for a portable speaker for outdoor use and do not want to pay expensive, the Ortizan X10 portable Bluetooth speaker is one of the good options. Also, you can rest assured that it doesn’t take care of it too much when taking it outside.
The speaker has built-in two 3300mAh lithium batteries and provides up to 30 hours of playtime, as per its specs. But the company doesn’t mention the volume level for 30 hours of playtime. So we tested this. After fully charging the speaker, let it play for all time at 35% volume; the result is nearly 30 hours, as the company claims. That’s so good. However, if you are someone who likes to listen to loud music, louder than 50%, it is possible that the battery life may be less than 25 hours. So if you play loudly, it has less playtime, which is common.
All in all, I’m quite impressed in terms of the battery life of the Ortizan X10 speaker. 25 to 30 hours of playtime is enough for listening all day or at any party.
The Ortizan X10 utilized type-C charging, which provides fast charging. The full charging time is around 3 to 4 hours.
The Ortizan X10 has 24W (2 x 12W) of power output. The volume is quite loud enough. You don’t need to crank up to the maximum, which leads to a little sound distortion. Although it is not much, it is noticeable.
The company claims that the Ortizan X10 has excellent 360° stereo sound. But it is not truly 360° sound. The speakers are not omnidirectional. Although it doesn’t truly use surround sound, it does provide a great experience for listening to music. The bass is rich and full. The treble and mids are crisp and detailed. All in all, the Ortizan X10 provides good sound quality for general listeners, not for high-end audiophiles. You can buy the Ortizan X10 for listening to music, audiobooks, and podcasts, or for enjoying small parties.
However, you can’t hope this can deliver high-end sound performance. They have great sound when compared to other portable speakers under $50. But if you are an audiophile and need extra high-end sound quality, I really can’t think of which portable Bluetooth speakers sound as good as you expect at this price range. You may want to look at high-end speakers such as Marshall Stanmore II, Edifier S3000 Pro Bookshelf speakers, or Edifier S1000W Bookshelf speakers. These speakers are quite expensive, much more than the Ortizan X10 portable Bluetooth speaker, and not for portability either.
The Ortizan X10 also supports wireless stereo pairing. So you can connect to two X10 speakers for surround sound.
One good thing about the Ortizan X10 portable speakers is the EQ function. You can press the EQ button to switch between 3 preset EQs: vocal, 3D deep bass, and extra bass. Another feature of the EQ button is to activate the voice assistant. You can press and hold the EQ button for 3 seconds to activate Siri or Google Assistant.
