Anker Soundcore Liberty 4′ Design – Stem-Style Earbuds and Slide to Open Lid Style
First of all, the Anker Soundcore Libert 4 wireless earbuds are available only in a glossy black or white finish and semi-translucent silicone tips. With beautiful Soundcore logo and label are printed on the back of the stem perfectly seamlessly. The company provides four different sizes of semi-translucent silicone tips in the package, small, medium1, medium2, and large. I use the medium1 size and it’s an extremely perfect fit for my ears. I recommend that you should to try all sizes and choose the size the most perfect fit for your ears. This will a lot to the earbuds firmly in the ear and greatly affect the sound quality and noise cancellation.
With the new design of the charging case, the lid is opened by sliding backward. Once the lid is opened, you will see the LED on the silicone tips light up. There is status a LED strip on the front edge of the case. The USB-C charging port is located on the back and the company gives USB-C to USB-A charging cable in the box too. The Liberty 4 doesn’t miss the wireless charging method, it also supports wireless charging via the Qi standard as well.
Is the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 ideal for sport?
You can wear the Liberty 4 for light sports that don’t make a lot of sweat. Because these wireless earbuds are only an I PX4 rating, which can resist some sweat and splashes. If you are those who have a lot of sweat, I’m not sure if the Soundcore Liberty 4 wireless headphones can resist and still work perfectly. If you would like to buy wireless earbuds for hard working out, try reading the Raycon Fitness review (IPX7) or Jabra Elite 7 Pro review (IP57 water & dust proof). Both may more fit your answer than Anker Soundcore Liberty 4.
Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 Review – The control
To control the Liberty 4 is like other stem-style earbuds. They respond to your action with a feedback tone. You can control basic functions by pressing on their stems. For example single pressing on either stem to control playback, double pressing on either stem to switch between ANC and transparency modes including handle calls. You can go to the next song by triple pressing on the stem of the right earbud, and as well do the same thing to go to the previous track on the stem of the left earbud. The control is easy-to-use and easy to remember and all the basic functions are available, including volume control and voice assistant. Besides, customize the layout of the control via the app as well.
Great and New Features of the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4
Support LDAC – Deliver high-bitrate streaming
The new internal design with 9.2mm and 6.0mm dynamic drivers work together to deliver a completely rich-detailed sound. The Liberty 4 has a wide frequency response of 20Hz – 40kHz and an impedance of 16 ohms. They come with Bluetooth 5.3 technology and also support the AAC and SBC. Besides, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 wireless earbuds are also compatible with LDAC codes, which is a higher transmission rate than other wireless technologies by up to 3 times. So it delivers high-bitrate streaming and hi-res audio via Bluetooth at high speed (hi-res audio format 24-bit/95kHz with bit-rates up to 990 kBit/s). Other Anker wireless earbuds that support LDAC codecs such as Anker Space A40 that cheaper than Liberty 4.
360° Spatial Audio – Give the feeling you stay in the center of the sound from all directions
New features – spatial audio features deliver effectively wider and deeper soundstage. The repositions of the instruments and vocals give an immersive experience for listening to music and taking advantage of the larger virtual soundstage.
Dynamic Head Tracking – Built-in gyroscope to detect every head movement for that the surround sound is always around you
Activate the head-tracking feature let you close to some of the musical instruments like the vocals and lead guitar as if you were at the concert.
Personalized sound – Customize the sound signature to your own
In the Soundcore app, you can create your own sound signature, by customizing the EQ setting for personalized sound
Adaptive Noise Cancelling
HearID active noise-canceling will automatically adjust, and the outside noise will reduce to different levels around you.
Heart Rate Sensor
Like the smartwatch feature, you can check your heart rate via the app. The in-ear heart rate sensor will track your heart rate as you listen throughout the day. However; this feature is not precise, just a rough measure. So unable use the result to confirm the health effects cannot be confirmed.
More Key Features
- Advanced Acoustic System – To outstanding performance to produce Hi-Res sound with LDAC codecs (give 3x more clarity)
- Dual Dynamic Driver – Upgraded to high-quality technology (ACAA 3.0) to deliver crisp and clear sound
- Wider frequency range – To premium sound quality
- Good battery Life – Provide 9 hours for a single charge and total all around 28 hours with a charging case
Just OK for ANC – The Liberty 4 has Mediocre Noise Cancellation
Under $150 (on release date), the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 wireless earbuds have moderate active noise-canceling. They effectively block low-frequency sound. In the airport or during a flight, they can noticeably reduce the engine sound and boisterous conversation around you. Albeit, the highs and the mids ranges can a bit slipped by and you can hear a little. We didn’t hear obviously hissing sounds in quiet scenarios or distorted signature sounds while turning on the noise cancellation.
The active noise cancellation of the Soundcore Liberty 4 is quite good. But of course, it can’t expect ANC performance on par with the best wireless noise-canceling earbuds like the Sony WF-1000XM4 or Bose QuietComfort Earbuds ii.

Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 Noise Cancellation Earbuds – Final Verdicts
There are many great features in these wireless earbuds, even though some feature is not excellent, just OK. However, the companion app is very good and can do many things. You can tweak the EQ setting and ANC levels, including customizing the layout of the control. The new amazing feature is heart rate tracking, you can see the result of your heart rate via the app too. Battery life is just mediocre, 9 hours for one charging and 28 hours with the charging case. All in all, at the end of the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 review, I just say that these wireless earbuds are moderate value suitable for their price if you want to buy them.
