Anker Soundcore Life U2
Neckband design with flexible and twistable, crystal clear calls CVC 8.0, 24 hours of playtime, fast charge, IPX7 waterproof, magnetic earbuds
The neckband headphones are not suitable for all; they’re just great for some. That depends on lifestyle and personal preferences. If you are not annoyed that something stays on the back of your neck while you are running or exercising, the Anker Soundcore Life U2 neckband headphones are probably good for you. How good are these neckband headphones? Let’s see the Anker Soundcore Life U2 review.
The neckband is quite tough but can twist. It’s designed to be twistable to easily adapt to the shape of your neck and shoulders. The materials are a silicone coating with titanium alloy steel and are flexible to ensure a snug fit on your shoulders and superior shape retention.
The Life U2 is also lightweight, weighing just 1.12 ounces. So, they can rest on your neck all day without fatigue. While writing the Anker Soundcore Life U2 review, I found that this neckband headphone provides magnetic earbuds. That means you can use the built-in magnetics to effortlessly clip the earbuds together when you are not listening.
The outer design is resistant to water. These Life U2 neckband Bluetooth headphones can persist in the rain, water, and more. That’s because they have an IPX7 waterproof rating. Hence, the Anker Soundcore Life U2 is built to be great for exercise, running, or outdoor use.
These neckband headsets provide power all day. They can give you 24 hours to listen to music for one charge. Yes, this is the company’s information reference. But in real use, it’s not precise. Depending on how you use it, especially the level of the volume, it has a great effect on playtime. But from my experience with Life U2 for a month, these headphones offer playtime for nearly 24 hours if you set the volume to 60% of the maximum. That’s enough for a day’s listening to music. Another great thing about the Life U2 is its fast charging; you can enjoy listening to music for up to 2 hours after charging for only 5 minutes via USB-C.
Really and truly, the sound quality is average and so-so. It’s not great, but it’s good. The bass boost doesn’t make a clarity difference, but I can feel the tighter bass. However, for this price point and what you get, it’s worth it, and I would recommend Anker Soundcore Life u2 if you have a limited budget. They give such good sound quality if you are not a high-end audiophile or need to hear every sound detail in the music.
Frankly, it’s quite rare to find a neckband headphone that comes with great sound quality. If you want great sound headphones, you must look beyond the neckband and try to turn to look at the over-ear headphones like Soundcore Q35 or more supreme level headphones like Bose QC45 or Sony WH-1000XM4.
Although the sound quality is not so great for listening to music, the call quality is so good. These neckband headphones under $50 offer crystal-clear calls with CVC8.0 noise reduction. You are heard clearly by the person on the other end; it is very clear and there are no issues, no resounding, and no noise either.

Anker Soundcore Life U2 Review – Final Verdict
All in all, in the Anker Soundcore Life U2 review, in my opinion, the Anker Soundcore Life U2 is not a great sound quality neckband headphones, but it’s good enough when compared to the other brands in this price range. The sound quality is mediocre, which I can accept. The design is not annoying while wearing and provides a secure and snug fit while running. Not worrying they are falling out by accident; it’s quite a secure fit if you choose the right ear tips and ear wings.
