Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 review – Extremely Comfortable & Adaptive ANC

BeoPlay H95 Review – Short Words

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 review: Elegant and sleek design that kicks in my heart, very great build material, and looks and feels very luxurious. The app is easy to use, and adjusting noise cancellation can be done easily. The Beoplay H95 produces perfect sound quality, a wide soundstage, and a lot of detailed sounds. The bass is deep, strong, and not muddied. The overall sound signature is great for pretty much any music genre. But the Beoplay H95 is a little bit pricey, and that is an issue for some. However, you can check the price before deciding.

Beoplay H95 review

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95

Wireless, Bluetooth 5.1, excellent adaptive noise-canceling, outstanding sound quality, 38 hours of playtime, foldable design, built-in mic, luxurious design, and premium material

First of all, I accept that I did not buy the Beoplay H95. It’s quite expensive for me. But I have a few days to test these headphones by borrowing them from my friend, who came to visit and stay at my house for a few days. Fortunately, he takes these high-end wireless active noise-canceling headphones too. Wow! The first time I saw this can, it was so gorgeous and had very good build quality. After I try the Beoplay H95 ANC headphones, I fall in love with them immediately. Then I decided to write a review of the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 to share how I feel and think about these active noise-canceling headphones, which are slightly under $900 (as of the date of writing this review).

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 Review – Great and Neat Design

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95

As I said before, the Beoplay H95 has a very beautiful and elegant design. Every detail is so neat, whether the earcups, headband, or soft premium material padded to the earcups.

The earcups are oval-shaped, padded with soft memory foam, and wrapped in soft lambskin, which keeps the Beoplay H95 comfortable even after wearing them for a long time.

The outstanding design of the control wheels. The back of the cups is decorated with a brushed aluminum framework that feels luxurious. The rim of the aluminum framework is designed to be rotatable, allowing you to adjust the volume and level of active noise cancellation. This is an intuitive control that is very easy and convenient.

The top of the headband is made of authentic leather, which looks opulent. The bottom of the headband is padded with soft material to ensure support for the head while wearing it. I don’t feel the pressure on my head while listening to music for hours. It’s extremely comfortable.

Oh!, I almost forgot these wireless headphones can fold to keep space in the bags. Also, the company includes a beautiful and strong aluminum carrying case in the package.

Beoplay H95 Review – Intuitive touch control

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 review

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 is designed for intuitive touch control that is housed on the right earcup. It’s very responsive, and each operation control is easy to remember.

  • Play/pause – Just tab on the center
  • Skip to the next track – swipe forward
  • Back to the previous track – swipe backward

I think these high-end wireless ANC headphones should pause the music when taking off the headphones. Oh, but not; it is still playing the music. This is one flaw, unfortunately. However, you can set the app to automatically turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

How long is the battery life of Beoplay H95?

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 offers a maximum playtime of up to 38 hours while ANC is on. That means if you turn off ANC mode, the playtime should be longer than this. Some say it can offer up to 50 hours if the ANC is off. In fact, I’m not checking for this because I do not have enough time. However, 38 hours is superior to most active noise-canceling headphones on the market nowadays.

Beoplay H95’s Connectivity

Bluetooth 5.1, which is a quick pairing and stable connection. The Bluetooth signal is so strong and can work well in a range of 10 meters. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.1 technology, the Beoplay H95 can support SBC, AAC, and aptX™ Adaptive. That means you can play and enjoy high-res audio streams. Beyond this, you can connect two devices simultaneously.

The Sound Quality – Tight Bass, Expansive Sound, and Lots of Detail

Beoplay H95 review

Truly, I am not an audiophile, but these cans have very good sound quality. In the song that I listened to for a couple of days, I could feel the Beoplay H95 producing a very nice sound. In X-Japan’s “Endless Rain,” the guitar sound is crisp and clear. Piano melodies make me slip into the world of music. The drum sound is so impactful and powerful. Bass is pretty tight and certainly present in sufficient quantity for any genre song. The company says “Two titanium neodymium magnet drivers of 40mm improve the sound precision and increase powerful sound”. The soundstage is fairly expansive. I think this hype is not far from the truth. Wow! The Beoplay H95 wireless ANC headphones deliver incredible sound performance.

After listening to music with H95, I really want to own it. But, like I said, it was quite expensive. And I still have other things that are more necessary to be purchased than the H95. So I had to restrain myself to save my wallet.

Excellent Noise-Canceling

Beoplay H95 - Best active noise canelling headphones under $1000

In terms of blocking outside noise, the Beoplay H95 does the job very well. They can block out most environmental sounds and let me enjoy the music. When I turn on an ANC mode, I hardly hear environmental sounds such as conversation, blender, vacuum, or even car engine sound. It’s very silent except for my music. There are two ways to adjust the level of noise cancellation: first, roll the earcup. Another method is toggling between the maximum level of ANC and transparency.
