Lypertek PurePlay Z3 Review – Final words
Lypertek PurePlay Z3 review: Are you looking for truly wireless earbuds with outstanding battery life? If yes, the Lypertek PurePlay Z3 gives you more than 9H on one charge and an additional 60H from the case. Besides, fully protect your sweat and against rain with an IPX7 waterproof level. Most important with not a too expensive product and comes with astonishing sound, and is more convenient with the PureControl app. The PurePlay Z3 true wireless earbuds are amazing for under $100 headphones.
Lypertek PurePlay Z3 2.0
true wireless earbuds, Lastest Bluetooth 5.2 (aptX & AAC), IPX7 waterproof, 10 (single charge)+ 70 (case) hours playtime, customize sound (7 band EQ), wireless charging
Audio product maker Lypertek has rebranded the Lypertek Tevi and they’re known as the Lypertek PurePlay Z3. For those with Tevi literally, nothing has altered apart from the name and the packaging. In this Lypertek PurePlay Z3 review, I’ll be looking into why these buds have other tech reviewers singing these praises.
Lypertek PurePlay Z3 Review – Design and Fit
Considering the buds have a 10hrs battery life, they’re surprisingly light and small. You get the usual small, medium, and large silicone ear tips, but also bonus foam tips. I rarely find it works well with my ears, but the included feature works quite well. With the large ear tips in I found they stuck out of my eras slightly, but the fitting was very secure enough I’d run outdoors without worrying about them falling out.
With the small foam tips, they adjust quite snug in my concha and stay very secure with a more comfortable fit than bigger silicone ear tips. There’s a bit of drop in the bass with foam ear tips. The trend of earphones has been towards touch controls, which I’m not a big fan of. I inevitably skip pause tracks or mess with the volume accidentally. These thankfully have a manual push the button and you can customize the feature through the app.
How well the sound quality of Lypertek PurePlay Z3 can do?
The sound performance is great. One of the big reasons why Lypertek TEVI was so often recommended was the sound performance, and to the best of my knowledge, these buds should sound the same. Though, you now have some bonus of the application and EQ, so you can tailor the sound profile according to your taste.
Most of my in-ear buds usage is in the running or gym, so I’m inclined to prefer something slightly more bass-forward, working well with the genres I listen to in the gym. The out-of-the-box sound performance is balanced with more subtle bass than you find compared to several consumer-oriented True wireless earphones.
They provide excellent details and crispy across ranges, and the more I listened to them like this, the more I enjoyed them. It’s good when you desire to listen to the actual music rather than have some BOOMY background noise. I also feel no harshness in the higher end, something several earbuds are prone to.
The EQ then permits you to tailor the sound, with the Bass plus profile being the immediately appealing preset for me. Bass becomes pronounced, but I would not say excessively so. The new LDX audio overrides the EQ and aims to bring a bigger soundstage. Closed headphones and earphones never have remarkable soundstage, but with the LDX mode enabled things are remarkably improved and make Lypertek PurePlay Z3’s best earbuds under 100.
Lypertex PurePlay Z3 2.0 Review – Features
Now moving on the features of these earbuds have a button on every bud. The buttons are multi-functioned and with controls, you can do the following.
- Volume
- Play/Pause
- Taking calls
- Enable voice assistant
- Track control
The buttons are simple to press and don’t cause any discomfort when using them. You would not find the earbud going deeper into your ear and may be hurting the inside of your ear. Pairing the Lypertek PurePlay Z3 turn on automatically once out of the charging case and starts to pair automatically the first time.
Then when you go to utilize it again they connect automatically with nothing further you to do. You’ll also notice these earbuds use the master and slave technology meaning the primary bud you choose becomes the master and also follows for you to use one bud at a time if you want.
Long Life of Playtime?
The Lypertek PurePlay Z3 has promised battery performance of 10hrs or non-stop usage when using SBC. My testing was conducted using APTX and so I managed 9hrs of continuous playback. For TWS buds, this is an exceptional and long-lasting earbud. What is somewhat disappointing is the quick charge time.
After ten minutes of charging from the flat, the buds only played for an hour before shutting down, that’s the lowest result I have had so far. No wonder Lypertek PurePlay Z3 does make any quick charge claim. It also does support wireless charging, so you have 2 options for charging that is wireless charging and wired charging via USB-C cable.

The conclusion of my Lypertek PurePlay Z3 review – these earbuds are another remarkable pair of affordable TWS from Lypertek, with the new application and features extending its lifespan and adding more value than before. With the LDX audio mode, they sound much better than ever, and the EQ setting means there is greater scope for tuning the music to your liking.
