OneOdio A70 Review – Wireless Professional Studio & Monitoring Headphones

OneOdio A70 Review – Short Words

OneOdio A70 review: the A70 is a great, simple-to-use headphone, particularly for when you are stuck at home during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It provides decent sound performance, particularly in terms of bass so you can have those individual raves at home. Price under 50, it would be the best monitor companion, seeing as how you can simply switch between connectivity modes.

OneOdio A70

Wireless professional monitoring & recording, soft memory earcups, playtime: up to 50 hours, studio headphones + share port, foldable, travel pouch

The OneOdio A70 is a pair of dual-mode headphones that can either go Bluetooth or wired mode. For its price tag, it provides a bundle of features, so we gave it a shot for this OneOdio A70 review.

OneOdio A70 Review – Design and Fit

OneOdio A70 review

The OneOdio A70 headphones themselves are the usual full plastic builds with UPVC-coated ear pads. They seem great as far as extremely affordable headphones go, and there’re plenty of adjustment settings to make them fit easily.

The ear pad just about fit over my big ears, maybe slightly on them. I find gets little hot wear within 2hr session, which is standard for this design of the model.

The one very unique feature of the headphone is the choice of either a 3.5mm or 6.5mm input. The only advantage of this I’m aware of is permitting people to daisy chain headsets together, letting them listen to content from a similar source. This could be very useful in a few scenarios; it’d be excellent on the train or flight journeys when I and my partner both want to listen to something on a laptop or tablet.

I’m not completely sure why they used 6.5mm input, though. From slight research, there’s no functional difference between 3.5mm and 6.5mm performance currently, and the wire they included is 3.5mm input to 6.5mm so you’re still plugging into a 3.5mm source easily. The included wire looks to be so you can plug instruments in from 6.5mm to 3.5mm wire.

How about A70’s comfort?

Supreme comfortable headphones under 50

The OneOdio A70 headphone has a comfortable headband on the top with proper ample cushioning and a similar goes for the soft memory foam in-ear cups. The cups can be eliminated for simpler access to changing the foams. While they are comfortable, I did find the adjustable settings to be slightly short, but maybe it is because I have a big head. It’d have been great if the headband can extend just slightly longer.

The leatherette on the A70 is comfortable to the skin, but after long sessions of use, it does gather slight sweat. Though, if you are in an air-conditioned room, then this should not be an issue for you. When taking off OneOdio A70 and resting it on my neck, I love that it can also swivel so the ear cups do not stick onto your face.

How does the OneOdio A70 call quality?

I initially thought OneOdio A70 did not have a microphone because I did not find the microphone hole, but surprisingly when I received a call, the A70 did have a mic, and I even made certain by doing another room without bringing my mobile phone. I’d hear the call nicely, and the caller could also hear me easily without any issues. My voice during the call was described as clear with fine volume as if my mouth was right in front of a microphone.

OneOdio A70 Studio Professional Monitor Recording Headphones – Sound Quality

OneOdio A70 - Best cheap Studio Monitor Recording Headphones Under 50

ONEODIO headphones advertise headphones as having great bass and that they’re made for monitor recordings, DJs, and bass enthusiasts alike

  • Best cheap Monitor Recording Headphones

If you’re looking for cheap monitor recording headphones, OneOdio A70 is your answer, but few functions make them unique and special. The things I loved the most dual audio inputs, wireless connectivity, jack lock systems, double-duty cable, and wireless music-sharing technology.

  • Performance

Anybody or audiophiles desiring to listen to things analytically should avoid these, but I imagine the regular users will enjoy the sound performance. They’re extremely bass-heavy, with the bass performance emphasis extending into the mid which can negatively impact vocals and the mid clarity.

There’s a little uplift in the treble, offering an overall V-formed sound, but this is slightly uplifted, so it does not end up sounding very harsh. All in all, mid suffers quite a lot due to the bass bleeds, but if you want to enjoy bass-heavy music, OneOdio A70 can be fun to listen to…

Best Cheap Studio Monitor Recording Headphones Under 50 – Battery

OneOdio A70 claims to provide a 50hrs battery, which is just mind-boggling for me. I have not used them for anywhere close to this long as so I cannot confirm the right battery life, but they show no signs of dying after several hours of use on a higher level. This battery will make them a great choice for keeping your travel bag and rarely having to concern about charging them when on the go.
