Anker Space A40 Review: Provide high-res sound and adaptive ANC plus with transparent mode. They provide great sound quality and good call quality with six AI-algorithm microphones. The Space A40 also comes with multipoint connectivity. Strong battery and compatible wireless charging; besides, it also has a fast charge feature, and it’s so fast (10 minutes gets additional power of up to 4 hours).
Anker Soundcore Space A40
true wireless earbuds, Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC/AAC/SBC codecs(range up to 10 meters), hi-res, battery life: 10 hours (single charge)/50 hours (with case), fast charge: 10 minutes for 4 hours, water-resistant: IPX4, adaptive ANC, transparent mode, can be used either bud, EQ: presets/customizable via the app, call: 6 mics with AI algorithm
The Anker Soundcore Space A40 are the most affordable and solid active noise cancellation wireless earbuds under $100 USD at the time of release. They offer a strong battery and are also stronger than the Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro, which is cheaper. The Space A40 delivers great sound quality and natural sound. They can also use a companion app to help them stand out. I hope that the information in the Anker Soundcore Space A40 review will be useful for you to make a great decision about buying.
The exterior design looks like the Anker Life A3i and Anker Life Dot 2. Most materials are plastic, both inside and out and they also look a little robust. They are designed without stems, nice, compact, and super comfortable to wear for hours without fatigue on my ears. With the standard oval shape of earbuds and the Soundcore providing multiple ear tip sizes, you can choose the right size of ear tips to perfectly fit your ear canal. Wearing the earphones in the right position and angle will provide superior comfort and ANC performance, and this will also give great noise isolation.
In terms of durability and water resistance, the Anker Space A40 is rated IPX4. This number is not outstanding, but it can protect the earbuds from light rain and some water splashes. That means these wireless earbuds are great for some activities that make you sweat a lot, such as mini-marathons, or hard-working out, and surely they can’t be worn for swimming. If you need more rated in terms of waterproof, look over these wireless earbuds and look for others like Lypertek PurePlay Z3 2.0 or Anker Soundcore Liberty A1, both of which offer an IPX7 rating of water-resistant.
The charging is capsule-shaped and compact (2.67 x 1.74 x 1.12 inches), which is small enough to easily slide into the pocket. They are smaller than the Jabra Elite 7 Pro and cheaper, but sturdy and built with a soft-closing lid. There are three LED lights on the front panel to indicate the charging status and the remaining battery.
Very impressively, the Space A40 gives a maximum of up to 10 hours of listening to music continuously (ANC off). Indeed, as you know, the number of hours of playtime is not accurate; it depends on the volume level, turn-on or turn-off ANC, and other factors. The 10 hours is a specification from Soundcore. Not serious, however, the Anker Space A40 gives playtime not less than 6–7 hours even if you turn on ANC and use almost max volume. Personally, this number is quite impressive.
Talking about the charging case, the case is provided five times. That means you can get playtime for up to 50 hours in total. In case the earbuds’ batteries run out, you just put the earbuds in the case for 10 minutes, and you get another 4 hours of playtime, which is amazing and touching.
Moreover, the Space A40 is more convenient by being compatible with wireless charging too.
The good thing is that these Bluetooth wireless earbuds can connect to two devices at the same time. The multi-point connection lets you connect your phone and other Bluetooth devices simultaneously. These are quite good for wireless earbuds under $100 and easy to switch to take the call.
These wireless earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.2 and support SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs. According to the specs, the Bluetooth range is moderate and is around 10 meters or 33 feet without obstacles. But from our testing, I can get the signal about 25 feet indoors and maybe 40 to 45 feet outside. You can also switch between using one or two earbuds.
One thing that I found is that LDAC is not compatible with Bluetooth multipoint. I tried to connect to two devices, but it didn’t work. I don’t know where I made a mistake.
When talking about control functionality, the Space A40 has touch control on the back of the buds. The touch panel responds quite well. The controls can be adjusted via the app; you can define any function for one tap, double tap, and also tap and hold.
The sound quality of the Anker Space A40 is not excellent, and audiophiles will not find the output as impressive. But these wireless earbuds provide such good sound for under $100. With the double-layer diaphragm drivers, the Space A40 will deliver highly detailed sound. You can hear all frequency responses from these wireless earbuds. The bass is strong enough to make you feel the rhythm of the drums, but not so strong that it overwhelms the bass.
I feel that the mids and highs are a little dull and lack clarity. But good luck! The Anker Space A40 allows you to set the sound profile via the app. You can go through the HearID tuning procedure in the Soundcore app. After setting something in the app, I feel an immediate improvement in the output of the sound. I noticed the clarity that was missing was restored.
The Soundcore app provides EQ presets and also lets you tweak the EQ too. I so much like this. The app has a full 8-band graphic equalizer and the ability to keep your own combinations too.
The overall noise cancellation of the Anker Soundcore Space A40 is excellent for its price. Some cheap wireless ANC earbuds may have some noise, like humming or muffled sound, etc. Especially use ANC without music. But what do these earbuds do? They exceed expectations. They had almost no sound at all when used in mode ANC and with no music. The ability and diversity of the Space A40’s ANC are very good, although not as good as the Sony WF-1000XM4, which is much more expensive.
If you are looking for the best ANC wireless earbuds under $100, the Anker Space A40 is a good option. They are quite perfect ANC for the price and also adaptive ANC through the Soundcore app. It is also easy to tune. When turning on an ANC, it can reduce a large amount of noise and dullness.

Pros
Cons
I know these earbuds are not the best wireless earbuds for audiophiles, but they are excellent for their price. The Space A40 has adaptive ANC and the ability to adjust the sound profile as well as EQ via the Soundcore app. The battery is very strong, providing up to 10 hours of playtime continuously, and the charging case offers to add up to 40 hours. The Anker Soundcore Space A40 is one of the best ANC earbuds under $100, in my opinion. I highly hope the Anker Space A40 review will be more or less useful for you.
