BolaButty X-GO Portable Bluetooth Speaker Review – Powerful and Inexpensive

Portable Bluetooth speakers are top-rated and increasing yearly because most are cheap and have decent sound quality for listening to music. The BolaButty X-GO portable wireless Bluetooth speaker is one of them. This unit is quite affordable (in fact, it’s very cheap) and has good sound quality. It has good build quality and a solid and strong battery.
In my opinion, the BolaButty X-GO is the best portable Bluetooth speaker for under $30.

The BolaButty X-GO comes in a long triangle shape. It’s small enough to fit in any backpack or hold in one hand. It’s easily portable and can be taken on the go for travel or outdoor parties. The control panel buttons are sitting on top. There are power on/off, volume down, play/pause, volume up, and the last are light buttons. You will see a line-in (AUX) and a type-C charging port on the back.

I like the dynamic multi-color lights on both sides of the speaker. The light’s to the music’s beat, but it can customize the light effects to suit my preference.

BolaButty X-Go Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Durability

Well-made and sturdy-feeling. It is made of mostly good plastic and looks solid. I dropped it a couple of times, and the speakers still appear sturdy. It still works well, and the sound is not cracking or distorting. In addition, the speaker has an IPX5 waterproof rating, so you can use it for outdoor activities. It can resist drizzle and water splashes. But it can’t float in the water, even though some users said they had accidentally dropped it into the water and quickly got it out. It still works, but to be honest, I’m not sure about its long-term durability if I had ever dropped the BolaButty X-GO speaker into the water.

All in all, in terms of durability, I’m delighted. It’s sturdy and not easy to damage.

Battery Life

The company claims that the battery has up to 24 hours of playtime. I think they are too exaggerated. The BolaButty X-GO speakers provide a battery life of just 15 hours if you crank up 70% of the volume. However, if you want the speaker to last up to 24 hours, you should play the music with less than 30% volume and turn off the multi-color light function. But the 30% volume of the 10-watt speaker is too low for me.

Bluetooth 5.3 and Connection

The X-GO speaker utilizes Bluetooth 5.3 technology, so it’s easy to connect and has stable connectivity. The Bluetooth range is up to 100 feet without any obstacles. But it’s a pity that the speaker can’t connect to two devices at the same time.

Best Value Portable Speaker-  Sound Quality

They come with good sound for this price. Crips and clear highs, detailed mids, and decent bass for listening to music. The speaker has two drivers and produces powerful, well-balanced sound with minimal distortion.

The speaker comes with 10 watts of output power. So it may not be loud enough for large rooms.

It also supports TWS mode, letting you have a better experience listening to music. You can pair two BolaButty X-GO speakers to produce double volume and true stereo sound output.

In my opinion, the Bolabutty X-GO portable Bluetooth speaker is a great value. It’s one of the best portable Bluetooth speakers under $30. The speaker delivers good sound quality, the design is compact and portable, and it has a decent waterproof rating (IPX5). The sound is good but not excellent, like that of premium speakers such as the Tribit StormBox Micro 2 or the JBL Xtreme III. However, if you are looking for an affordable and good-quality portable speaker, buying the Bolabutty X-GO speaker will not disappoint.
