Tozo Gloden X1 Review – LDAC & HI-Res Audio Wireless Earbuds

Tozo Gloden X1 Review – Short words

Tozo Gloden X1 review: I found that the Tozo Gloden X1 are wireless earbuds that deliver excellent sound, so much different from inexpensive earbuds’ sound performance. Their battery is so strong providing up to 8 hours continuously and the light and nice charging case still provide up to 32 hours of listening time. Paired and connected to the lasted your device suddenly once open the case. Multi-connection is good and easy. The Tozo app is very good and many things can be adjusted via the app.

Tozo Gloden X1

in-ear, Bluetooth 5.3, support LDAC HD audio-decoding, active noise-canceling (5 modes selectable), 16 EQ preset & customizable your sound, wide frequency range: 12Hz to 44.1kHz, battery life: 8 hours (single charge)/32 hours (with charging case), support multi-connection, dual power display, lightweight design

Personally, I think many people who like to listen to music with headphones or earbuds will well-known Tozo earbuds. Popular brand in cheap wireless earbuds. There are several Tozo wireless earbuds that used to be on Amazon’s Best Sellers list. Until now I writing the Tozo Gloden X1 review, Tozo still sitting in the top best sellers list same as Tozo T10, Tozo T6, and Tozo NC9 all are quite cheap wireless earbuds, each of which is less than $30.

I just got a new pair of wireless earbuds, Tozo Gloden X1, which is Tozo’s first-ever premium-quality certified by TUV Rheinland. Before more than introducing it, I think to go to see about this item in this Tozo Gloden X1 review first. Following me.

Tozo Gloden X1 Wireless Earbuds Review – Packing and Accessories

The package comes in a black and hard paper box. The package consists of Tozo Gloden X1 wireless earbuds, 6 different sizes of ear tips (including the default tip size pre-installed earbuds), a short USB-C charging cable, a user manual, and a quick start guide. The packaging is not suitable for the price (around $150), it is just a hard paper box. But it’s not really important, that’s decent enough.

Tozo Gloden X1 Review – The Design

After opening the box at first glance and impressed, the charging case is very light. The case’s body is not metal, but I think it is light plastic and looks premium. The case shape is like an oval-shaped pill jar, matte black. So it is easy to leave a fingerprint. But it’s also easy to wipe off. There is a USB-C charging port on the back. Inside the case has white LED digital power indicators for itself case and also has white LED light bars battery display for both earbuds. Looks nice and attractive at all. While plug-in for charging the case, the white LED light at the front will be flashing. After charging is finished, it will go out.

The earbuds are so light as well. The Tozo Gloden X1 comes with touch control on the exterior surface of both left and right buds. The touch area is quite sensitive and if you are not yet used to it, might make a mistake in use. However; in just a while, I will used to it and can control the earbuds easily.

Comfortable Fit

With the earbuds are very lightweight so I don’t feel annoyed or fatigued in my ears. As I said earlier, the packaging provides 5 different sizes of ear tips and another default attached to the earbuds. if you choose the size of the right tips, the earbuds will stay in place in your ears and not even a bit twist. My ears fit the default size. I tested it by joking in the morning, very good in terms of the secure and snug fit. The earbuds will not easily fall out. The Tozo Gloden X1 can use each earbud independently.

How about Bluetooth connectivity?

Bluetooth connectivity is reliable within 10 meters. In this range, even if there are double wall obstacles between your source device and the Tozo Gloden X1 wireless earbuds sitting in your ears, the signal is still clear and stable. However; I tested it by walking further than 10 meters (just an estimate), and the Bluetooth signal started to stumble and disappear intermittently. Also, if there is more than a double wall blocking them, the signal will disappear intermittently too. In terms of Bluetooth connectivity, the signal range is quite a bit less. I hope that Tozo will improve this in the next generation or next update firmware.

Great Battery Life & Dual Power Display Charging Case

These hi-res wireless earbuds from Tozo arrange playtime for around 8 hours single charge on earbuds and a maximum of up to 32 hours when including the charging case. 32 hours which is equal to Anker Liberty 3 Pro wireless earbuds and also is Tozo’s claim referring to the product’s specs. For actual usage, I listen to music at 50% of the volume for 1 hour (approx) without ANC. When I place it back in the charging box and wait for a full charge (earbuds) again. I found that it only consumes 3% of the battery. That means the overall playtime of the Gloden X1 is nearly 32 hours as the company claims. When I didn’t use it for about 2 weeks, the battery level hardly dropped. It is unlike other wireless earbuds where the battery level will keep decreasing noticeably, when not in use for a long time.

Tozo Gloden X1 Review – The Sound Quality

First of all, I have to say the sound quality is an individual feeling, which may be dissimilar for each. Depending on personal favorite and experience. I’m not a high-end audiophile but I like to listen to music since my teenage. The sound efficiency is the most difficult part to explain but I will try to the best and easiest to understand.

When it onto sound quality, Tozo Golden X1 doesn’t disappoint me. Simple and straight words, the sound is very excellent, and I feel like sitting at the center of the concert. The default sound profile is plane and flat but it’s clear and good sound balanced for listening to general music.

Even though many cheaper wireless earbuds come with better in term of battery life than the Tozo Gloden X1, the sound quality of the Tozo Gloden X1 is fantastic and better than Anker Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro and Raycon Fitness (E45) (I think). Moreover, the Gloden X1 are wireless earbuds that support LDAC, wireless high-resolution audio, and deliver
excellent sound quality. This is the same as Technics EAH-AZ60M2 wireless earbuds, which support LDAC too.

Tozo Gloden X1 Wireless Earbuds With Amazing and Intuitive App

To increase the sound efficiency and adjustable sound effects via the Tozo app. You have to download the Tozo app (TOZO technology surrounds you) to get more things, such as Active Noise Cancellation, Sound Effects (EQ), customize touch control, update firmware, and Earprint. Besides; the app also displays the battery status of both earbuds as well.

The app is not complicated at all. After you download and install finished, add devices and you have to turn on “location access” on your mobile phone. After that, the app will automatically search the device you just click the device that the app discovers and it will automatically connect to your app. All these steps you only do once the first time you connect your phone to the Tozo Gloden X1.

The app provides up to 16 presetting EQs:

EQ Presets

  1. standard
  2. bass+
  3. bass-
  4. classical
  5. dance
  6. deep
  7. hip-hop
  8. jazz

EQ Presets

  1. standard
  2. bass+
  3. bass-
  4. classical
  5. dance
  6. deep
  7. hip-hop
  8. jazz

Moreover, the app also includes personal customize via graphics style and saveable. Easy and convenient to customize your sound profile. For each sound effect, you will feel the different sound effects. I like the bass+ profile, which delivers deep and rich bass. The treble+ profile as well offers crips and an extremely balanced treble. The app also allows you to choose active noise-canceling modes. There are 6 modes of ANC: noise cancellation, transparent, reduce wide noise, leisure, normal, and custom pattern. The custom pattern mode allows you can choose up to 10 levels of personalized custom noise reduction.

How about Tozo Gloden X1’s active noise-canceling?

There are five modes of noise-canceling plus another custom mode, which lets you adjust up to 10 levels of noise-canceling. When I use active noise-canceling, the surrounding noise is markedly reduced especially wind noise. But not all, I can still hear sounds from the TV or other high-frequency noises. All are not all, the Tozo Gloden X1 provides active noise cancellation quite well but still can’t defeat the Sony WF-1000XM3. Surely Sony is one of the best noise-canceling headphone brands but comes with a higher price definitely.

Tozo Gloden X1 Review – Pros & Cons

Tozo Gloden X1 Review – Final Verdict

Listening to music is a thing that I have favored since I’m getting into my teenage. And now I always listen to music while working whether day or night.
