Avantree HT280 Review – Wireless Headphones for TV

Avantree HT280 Review—Short Words

Avantree HT280 review: These Avantree headphones are great wireless headphones for TV and also ideal for seniors or those who have issues with hearing. Easy to use, just plug and play. Auto-connect to your device immediately turns on your HT280 and your Bluetooth device. With 2.4 GHz wireless technology, you will get high-quality sound and perfect synchronization, and there will be no more delays. For a full charge, you can play the Avantree HT280 for up to 12 hours.

Avantree HT280—Ideal for Seniors with High-Volume Setting

over-ear, wireless, 2.4 GHz transmitter charging dock, plug & play, connectivity: AUX 3.5 mm/optical/RCA/large phone jack (AV receiver), playtime: up to 12 hours, plug & play, high volume, 100-foot work range, no audio delay

The Avantree HT280 are wireless headphones with a great design for watching TV. They work in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and also have no audio delay with a long transmission range of up to 30 m or 100 ft. That’s enough for my house, which is not too big. The connection is simple; plug in and turn on both devices, and then they will automatically connect. So easy!

The headphones come with a charging dock in the box. They also pack an AC adapter, an optical audio cable, a 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable, an RCA audio cable, a 3.5 mm audio cable, a 6.35 mm to 3.5 mm adapter, and a user manual.

The closed-back design is good for protection from outside noise and is effective in keeping the sound from leaking. So, the sound from movies or music will not disturb your roommate.

The playtime is just 12 hours continuously, which is something I feel is too little. However, that’s enough for up to 2-3 movies continuously.

Avantree HT280 Review—The Sound Quality

The one main feature of Avantree HT280 is loud volume. The company claims that these headphones allow getting an additional 30% of volume for those who have some problems with hearing. So, Avantree is confident that HT280 is suitable for seniors or the hearing impaired.

The sound is good, but not much. If the audio quality is the main point for your new wireless headphones for TV, you should consider other options like the Sennheiser RS 175 or Sennheiser RS 195. The HT280 provides good sound quality at a decent price.

The Design

The headphone’s body is lightweight and very comfortable. They come in a square shape and have quite big ear cups, which are more suitable for people with large ears. The earcups are designed to freely flex, and that’s why the HT280 can conform to most faces. With the thickly padded ear cups, it not only ensures comfortable wearing but also offers a good seal, which blocks noise from outside as well. You will not disturb other people in the house.

The Avantree HT280, like most other headphones, can adjust the headband. Just pull the headband to extend it and push it together to shrink.

The transmitter is a high square design, with dimensions 10″ x 9.4″ x 4.2″. If you place the headphones in the slot on the top of the transmitter, they will be charged all the time. When you take it off the transmitter and put it on, it will start auto playback.
