Best Audio Technica Headphones – Review 7 Best

Contents

Recently, Audio-Technica has been struggling with premium headphones, whether for gaming, recording music or just enjoying your favorite mix on your iPod. Like competitors to the infamous Beats By Dre headphone line, many are headed towards Audio-Technica because they have lower prices but still have higher quality headphones.

They may not be as popular as the leading brands we see or hear on TV, but Audio-Technica headphones have received critical acclaim on the net. Although they have their own lines for music use, such as noise cancellation, DJs, or games, the M-Series can be applied to all such sound fields, so we decided to focus on them.

Why do we love AudioTechnica headphones?

There are many directions you can go for a headset. The internet and stores are flooding with them. However, we do not deal with the “popular” or best-selling brands found at your local Wal-Mart. I’m talking studio-quality, mechanically speaking headphones that are reliable for those who are serious about music.

As stated above, Beats by Dre is obviously the most popular choice for consumers, or it can go with a typical electronics brand such as Sony or Panasonic. But there’s a reason here, and probably because you’ve done the research.

We love Audio-Technica headphones because:

  • They are designed specifically for audio engineers, they guarantee the most accurate sound mixing – for both hi and bass.
  • Most of the leading brands who claim to make “studio quality” headphones focus on the bottom line because the bass attracts consumers.
  • They are much cheaper than their rival studio-quality headphones, such as Beats by Dre and other competitors.

7 Best Audio Technica Headphones For Every Occasion

Whether you’re looking for professional headphones, generally affordable, consumer-grade headphones, or truly high-end cans that scare you, everyone has something on this list.

1. Audio-Technica ATH-M40x – The Best Audio Technica For Monitor

New to the Audio-Technica studio headphones, the ATH-M40X headset is a new and improved version of the popular monitor headset.

We did a little review and give you some likes and dislikes of ours.

The Audio-Technica ATH-M40x is a professional monitor headphone that is ideal for audio surveillance. The headphones are tuned flat, offer incredibly accurate monitoring over a wider frequency range. They are ideal for studio use as they provide an enhanced experience with better sound insulation. Rotating ear cups make one ear more comfortable and allow for a more compact travel arrangement.

They are made with professional quality materials and follow robust construction techniques similar to most studio headphones on the market. They are by no means cheaply made headphones – the design of their monitor headphones is outstanding.

The M40x headphone series can be very useful for DJ monitoring, professional sound mixing and in the studio, as recommended by Audio-Technica; however, we recommend that they are used only in any conceivable environment. Personally, I have two couples – an M40x for the gym and travel (there was a girl who came up and asked me what was on the bus last week!) And a couple for my M50x home studio.

Audio-Technica ATH-M40X Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • Clear voice.
  • Very comfortable.
  • Very durable.
  • Ideal for monitoring.
  • Affordable.
  • Traveling.

What we don’t like

  • Not a bass player.
  • You need to purchase a separate case.
  • You cannot use interchangeable cables from other brands.
  • The earplugs only rotate 90 degrees.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50X – Short Words

The user rating of the headphones was very positive. Amazon’s ratings praised the fact that the M40x series headphones provide excellent sound isolation in loud or noisy environments, allowing for better audio monitoring.

2. Audio-Technica ATH-M50x – Audio Technica Over-Ear Headphones

Audio-Technica has upgraded its studio monitor headphone range, which has received a huge number of positive reviews from users on the Internet. The original ATH-M50 was the first pair of headphones to truly take off, which today is one of the most popular headphones on the market in terms of studio monitors.

Many have compared it to the popular Beats by Dre series, which we all know, but literally, most of their models are priced low.

They also strove to better fix what didn’t break because the original M50 was very stable and technologically reliable. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x has the same specifications and comfort as its predecessors.

ATH-M50X – Studio Headphones

The headband is a bit wider (for larger heads) and the ear pads are a bit softer, but nothing else is relevant to the construction of the headset. What’s great about the M50x is the color settings; we saw that the headphones in the Audio Technica studio are black only.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • The brand new interchangeable cable system is very convenient.
  • The same great technology as the M50 with their older brothers.
  • Even more comfortable than the M50s with softer ear pads.
  • The included rotating earplugs and bag make for great portability.
  • Discounted cost for a pair of high-end studio monitor headphones.
  • Available in four colors.
  • Perfect for studio monitoring, but optimal for listening to any type of music or audio.

What we don’t like

  • Use only Audio-Technica cables for replacement.
  • So expensive.
  • A bit difficult if you’re picky (11 ounces).
  • The case is woven and not very reliable.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Review – Short Words

These headphones are perfect for portability and travel. The ear cups are rotatable by 90 degrees, making them more compact and more travel-friendly. There is also a carrying pouch that comes with it (this is just a dress bag, I would recommend looking into a tougher case if you travel with them a lot. they will avoid tangles or cables.

3. Audio-Technica ATH-M30x Review – Best Budget Audio Technica Headphones

After so many years, I’ve learned how wonderful the cheapest headphones can be in terms of sound quality. The ATH-M30x remains a surprise as not all manufacturers offer similarly priced headphones.

They are not super durable or the most comfortable to wear. Some may say that the design is rather poor. But that would probably be an accurate assessment. I certainly understand the need to prioritize sound quality when it comes to budget restraint.

These headphones have the best mid-level definition in their class. 40mm drivers make a sound that goes beyond pay grade. If you’re looking for a good vocal and instrumental definition, I can’t recommend these headphones.

The foldable design makes it easy to take on the road. I find them ideal for playing games, watching movies, listening to music, and even recording online.

Audio-Technica ATH-M30X Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • Compact and lightweight.
  • High mean value determination.
  • The ATH-M30X is budget-friendly Audio-Technica headphones.
  • Folding design.
  • Extra-long cable.

What we don’t like

  • Average construction quality.
  • The cable cannot be replaced like the M40x or M50x.
  • Primarily tuned to mid-range, as opposed to smooth as higher spending on the general frequency.
  • Do not rotate it like the M40x or M50x.

Audio-Technica ATH-M30X Review – Short Words

One of the best features of the Audio Technica M30x headset is its ability to crash. Next to that is a nice little pouch that you can put them in (this is a fabric, we recommend that you make a harder shell if you want extra security). The only thing missing is that you can unplug the cable from the bottom, which the headphones themselves can wrap.

over-ear, wired, excellent mid-range definition, Circumaural, sound-isolating, 90-degree Swiveling Earcups, Great for studio and recording

4. Audio-Technica ATH-R70X Review – Best Professional Open-Back Headphone

It would be a serious understatement to say that they are professional headphones. I consider the ATH-M70x to be the flagship of the M series. Last but not least, because of the high quality of sound, the projection and many amenities. The headphones come with three detachable cables and you can select and use your favorite (be it the straight or winded cable you are looking for). The headphones also fold down for easy portability and storage.

They are as durable as any other Audio Technica headphones, if not really the best. The patented 45mm drives provide impeccable sound performance and help with frequency separation and isolation. This is a key feature of studios. Rotating earplugs increase the comfort level, whether you are listening to music only when you are listening or listening to one ear. Low impedance (38 ohms) facilitates loud playback of headphones.

The Audio Technica ATH-M70x headphones have been our reference headphones since testing a few months ago, and they are the open version. An open backside means less sound to your ears and more distribution to the outside world, which means that people on the train will hear more of what they are listening to.

However, they (and we must add the word ‘arguably’) give a broader atmosphere and a more attractive experience with the environment. Closed headphones are preferred for critical mixing and acquisition because most of the output is actually directed to the ear, so fine-tuning the mix is much more meaningful. This also means that the closed-back headphones can be performed at less volume as all the energy flows in – good for long mixing periods.

Audio-Technica ATH-R70X Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • Balanced frequency response.
  • Detachable cables.
  • Folding design.
  • The largest driver in the M-Series.

What we don’t like

  • It may be expensive for the average consumer.
  • Covered left and right markings.
  • Only one long (3-meter) cable is included.
  • The size of the headband may be slightly short for the extra-large head.

Audio-Technica ATH-R70X Review – Short Words

Audio – Technica ATH headphones have become a staple in home and professional studios. From the very affordable but surprisingly competent ATH M20x to the classy ATH M50x, they are comfortable, easy to drive and deliver a unified family voice that obviously suits the musicians’ tastes.

5. Audio-Technica ATH AD700X Review – Best Outdoor Audio-Technica Headphones

With their signature, self-adjusting wing mount construction, 53mm drives, spindle-shaped CCAW voice coils. Lightweight honeycomb aluminum casing, the ATH-AD700X competes vigorously with brands like Sennheiser.

For the first time, the ATH-AD700X drew attention to affordable pricing. Then the sound quality sold to me. The lightness of the medium and higher records is partly the responsibility of the 53mm drivers. Outdoor design is obviously attractive to many people, I have included some situations. This allows for natural sound projection and seems to emphasize less at the lower points. Nothing beats tall instruments, vocals, or stringed instruments.

Headphones are also very comfortable, even if you don’t have what you would call a high-end. The material’s elasticity and level of adjustment make it easy to wear headphones for long hours. The 3D wing bracket design also improves comfort. The honeycomb house looks cool to me. It can also improve the acoustics of any outdoor headphones. If there is one thing that could be improved on these headphones, this is a non-detachable cable.

Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • Rugged design
  • Clear, accurate sound reproduction
  • Rubber spine
  • IPX7 waterproofing
  • Long battery life
  • 360-degree projection

What we don’t like

  • Weaker bass
  • No built-in microphone

Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X Review – Short Words

If we were to choose headphones based on the availability of audio devices, the Audio Technica ATH-AD700X headset would be the top of the list. Immediately after inserting the headphones, it moves to another dimension, where the sound paints vivid images of beautiful landscapes and wonderful scenes. Their subtle elegance even manifests itself in their fear of over-appearing basses. Simply put, these headphones have a unique character that we think is worth every cent.

6. Audio-Technica ATH-A900X Review – Best Closed-Back Audio Technica Headphones

Based on the dimensions, the ATH-A900X serves the house. The soft emblems have a comfortable grip on the ears. However, there were problems landing – an ogolovya consists of two small pillows, called “3D – support”, lying on each side. Such a design is designed to reduce vibration levels and increase comfort through pressure reduction.

The truth is not very reliable, especially if its perimeter is small. When you move it vigorously one step toward the music, the headset slides easily. But if you sit quietly, there is no such problem.

The Audio-Technica ATH-A900X headset is designed for home or office use. Despite their relatively high prices, they do not serve as a professional studio monitor but allow you to have the most enjoyment of listening to a variety of musical genres. Its main advantage is the great sound, which covers every possible mistake and is even slightly overpriced according to Russian standards.

The Audio-Technica ATH-A900X headband is very interesting. It does not form a single sheet but it is made of two separate elements that allow the product to be securely attached to the listener’s head.

These two parts can move and change the tilt independently of each other, providing an ideal fit for people with completely different anatomical structures.

In addition, on the inside (the one that touches the surface of the head) these elements are covered with a soft and comfortable material, which makes using the headphones as comfortable as possible.

Audio-Technica ATH-A900X Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • Wide-open 53 mm drives
  • Extremely comfortable ear cushions
  • The 3D wing housing offers a vibration profile
  • No sensation in the ear
  • The outdoor headphones are clean

What we don’t like

  • Too short.
  • no warmth;
  • unreliable landing;
  • emphasis on VCh.

Audio-Technica ATH-A900X Review – Short Words

There is no sensation in the ear, it gives a completely natural feeling. Outdoor headphones provide clear, natural sound and sound reproduction. High aperture 53mm drivers and CCAW audio coils for excellent sound reproduction. The 3D-wing housing offers a vibration-resistant mechanism that provides more comfortable support for a better listening experience. Extremely comfortable ear cushions.

Headphones Audio-Technica ATH-A900X focuses on listening to original CDs and their lossless copies. They also allow you to enjoy the benefits of Hi-Res sound (such as digitized vinyl records).

7. AudioTechnica ATHWS1100iS Review – Best Bass Over-Ear Headphones

The Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100iS headphone features a dual aluminum housing, aluminum centerpiece, and aluminum stabilizer ring, and looks sleek. The installation quality is simple and similar to previous models of Audio Technica headphones. It would have been great for Audio-Technica to have used more metal at a reasonable price.

However, once again it is hard plastic, now has a matte finish, it looks soft and looks elegant. Each ear cup carries the Audio Technical logo in silver-black combination with the Audio Technica brand name on the headband.

The tape is flexible and fits almost any size of the head. It is only padded in the middle, considering that this is where you really touch your head. The headphones are lightweight and more comfortable to wear for longer listening periods.

They have fantastic seals with soft ear cups and pillows around them. The ear cups can be rotated 90 degrees to lie flat when carried around.

According to Audio Technica, the headphones are equipped with an extra airflow-based vent system with central and side vents to optimize the air pressure inside the case and drastically improve sound quality. The detachable 1.2 m (3.9 ′) cable includes a microphone and controls for answering calls and controlling media playback on smartphones and other portable devices.

Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100iS Review – Pros & Cons

What we liked

  • Good sound reproduction
  • Comfortable
  • Durable/good construction quality

What we don’t like

  • You need an equalizer
  • A little stroll while walking
  • Rare sibilance
  • There may be more cushions on top of the head

Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100iS Review – Short Words

So you want to feel the bass? Audio-Technica’s ATH-WS1100iS headphones feature a built-in housing feature and an aluminum stabilizer ring that works tactfully with the extra bass ventilation system for high-fidelity bass without vibration. The in-ear headphones include dual-layer headphones that record and isolate all audio outputs, ensuring student clarity.

Where to buy Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100iS

Audio Technica is about choice, quality, and affordable pricing. The Japanese company has been with the best Western audio manufacturers for a very long time. And while their headphone design doesn’t seem striking, the best Audio-Technica headphones are more than their own. I am not against mixing, matching, and comparing brands. But if you are not an audio equipment geek or no longer loyal to any other brand, Audio Technica can serve you very well like as many others over the years.
