1. Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro Review – Best Studio Headphones Under 500

Beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro is designed in a closed-back style, which means it will offer better noise-isolation and bass response than DT 1990 Pro which is an open-back design. And of course, DT1770 Pro utilizes the Tesla technology neodymium drivers. So, they produce precise and completely detailed sounds.

The Sound

These Beyerdynamic headphones are audiophile-level headphones and are perfect for professional studio use. The high vocal has a crisp resolution and exact. The mids are clear and crystalline pure. The bass as I mentioned before, is powerful, clearer, and stronger than Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro because they are closed-back headphones.

When it comes to image and soundstage, due to the closed-back design, the soundstage is not too wide which normally for closed-back headphones can’t beat the soundstage of open-back headphones.

Supreme Comfortable

The aluminum structure and the cups are made of plastic. Also the adjustable support bar. The clamping force is a little tight but the soft and dual-layered memory foam padding makes the DT1770 very comfortable for a long session which is amazing!

The pad, DT1770 provides 2 replaceable pads; leather and velour. Both pads have an impact on the efficiency of noise isolation. The leather can reduce noise up to 21dB, but velour has a noise reduction just only 18 dB.

The cable

Beyerdynamic offers a single-sided detachable cable with mini-XLR connectors 2 cables in the box. One is a straight 3m cable terminated with a 3.5mm gold-plated stereo jack. The second is a 3m coiled cable (3.5mm gold plated stereo jack too).

For 3m cable, that depends on the viewpoint, they are either great for your job or cumbersome at most. The long cord gives you to move around freely, but it may also cause you to be annoyed as well. DT1770 is not wireless, that’s one clawback, but it’s regular for studio headphones is should come with wired for better sound.

However, you can get more short light cables just for around $15 on Amazon. That is good news and helps you to have more convenience.

Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro Review – Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Closed-back design to battery noise-reduction
  • Great quality for a decent price
  • Come with a solid and nice case
  • The best option for a studio

Cons

2. Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen Review – High-End Tesla Audiophiles Headphones

Beyerdynamic It produces high-end headphones original T1 model and received excellent responses from users. The next models are Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen and T1 2nd Ninja Gen, which are among the best audiophile headphones for under 2000 dollars. However; some users mention these headphones about great sound quality but are hard to drive it lonely. These high-end headphones come with a high impedance of up to 600 ohms, which means need to play with a high-power amp to drive them.

The Beyerdynamic see the cumbersome too. So, Beyerdynamic releases a new pair of headphones that are easy to drive with down the impedance to 32 ohms, that is Beyerdynamic T1 3nd. How are these new high-end audiophile headphones are same or different from the prior model? Let’s go to dig in the Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Generation review.

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen Review – The Build & Comfortable

The overall design is not much different from the T1 2nd Gen. The external looks are the same, just a little diff is the revised steel backing plate on the earcups and slightly different patterns on the headband.

Soft generous velour-trimmed padding on the earcups and soft material covered the headband provide comfort enough for hours listening to music. I feel wonderful that these headphones don’t overheat on my ears over extended use, albeit thickly padded earcups. The open-back design of Beyerdynamic T1 3nd Gen much helps this. In terms of softness and comfort for long-wearing, I think the T1 3nd Gen does very great.

How it’s convenient for the outdoor? They are wired connectivity, even though detachable cable but not wireless. These best Beyerdynamic headphones are intended mainly for home use. The company prepares double-side cable made from ultra-high purity OCC7N copper and also covered with fabric and 3-meter length, easy to remove the cable. This 3 meters cable reduces the discomfort while listening to music. We can still move moderately in the near term.

If you’re a fan of open-back headphones, you know that there are some major drawbacks. One thing is sound leakage. And I think you know that wearing these headphones the sound will creep out and might be disturbing someone those who are around near you. And the other way is you won’t be very isolated from outside sound, you will still hear the sound of your friends talking if they are near.

And I just would like to say that if you do not love the downside of T1 3rd Gen. One of the best closed-back headsets from Beyerdynamic, T5 3rd Gen are worth considering if you can’t accept the defect of the open-back headsets.

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd – Best Beyerdynamic Headphones: How is the sound quality?

Frankly, there is a very small difference between 2nd Gen and 3nd Gen. In terms of sound quality, I don’t feel anything truly updated from the previous models except for the impedance value reduction. Which will help the headphones be easy to drive and don’t essential to use with a high-power headphones amp.

As I mention above, these open-back headphones have less impedance than the previous model, the T1 2nd Generation. This makes these headsets drive easily, the consequence is more widely compatible. Therefore, it can be used with an un-high-power source such as laptops or mobile phones to drive these cans.

Between the T1 2nd Gen and T1 3n Gen, the sound quality is much different if you use it with laptops, mobile phones, or MP3 players. The Beyerdynamic T1 3nd Gen offers clearly provide better sound quality and is louder. However; if you use these with great headphones amp and a high-quality source, they will deliver exceptionally excellent sound performance.

The 3rd Gen’s sounds slightly brighter, and the treble is not too high (a little more rounded). These make them lessen the violence of the treble. They also have an amazing balanced sound and it also impresses in the style of Beyerdynamic as before.

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen – Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Great Sound with clean and balanced sounding
  • Tilted Tesla technology, for ensuring a precise sound and spatial sound signature
  • high-quality cord (ultra-high-purity OCC7N copper & covered with fabric) : double-sided, detachable with B-Lock connector
  • Open-back design to keep your ears breathable and without overheating
  • Replaceable velour earpads with memory foam
  • Give enough decent sound quality when playing with low-quality sources like laptops or mobile phones

Cons

  • pricey

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen Review – Final Verdicts

At the last of Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen review, All in all, these best Beyerdynamic headphones produce excellent sound performance. Nevertheless; for some take some time to accustom might around a few days or even weeks. If you pass this time It would be hard not to love these Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Generation headphones.

3. Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Review – Best Audiophile Stereo Headphones

The next headphone from Beyerdynamic that we are talking about is still semi-open headphones. The Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Generation, these headsets are designed to enhance the bass response. This is what doesn’t have in the first generation (T1 1st Generation). But the Beyerdynamic T1 2nd  generation comes at a very high price ($500 – $1000 depending on deals time) but the price is decent for their high quality and material.

Beyerdynamic T1 2nd there are 2 models are T1 2nd Generation and T1 2nd Gen Ninja Edition. Both models have the same shape and specs, but the color is slightly different. The Ninja Edition has a slightly darker color than the T1 2nd Generation.

Beyerdynamic T1 2nd is a very sturdy design, extremely soft velours, and added memory foam ear cushions to comfy for a long session wearing.

The sound

When it comes to the sound of T1 2nd, they are dynamic semi-open design, which means these headphones are between half-half open and close design. So, expect that you will need in a quiet location or environment where you’ll hear the best and clear.

However; the Beyerdynamic T1 2nd still offers fantastic sound, reasonable for their high price. They are warmer and richer-sounding than most of the other high-end headphones. The latest tesla technology produces crystal clear sound and a very detailed treble. These headphones are the top quality in terms of both material and sound performance.

Another flawless of Beyerdynamic T1 2nd that I found is some sound leakage. That is one factor you should consider which may lead to disturbing your listening with the Beyerdynamic T1 2nd.

Keep in mind that, Beyerdynamic T1 2nd headphones ideal for use at home, not good for wear while exercising.

Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Review – Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Detachable cable.
  • Clear sound and precision.
  • Great design with fluid dynamics and rhythmic.
  • Super comfortable and well constructed.

4. Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro Review – Profession Studio Headphones

The next Beyerdynamic headphones that I would like to recommend is Beyerdynamic DT 770 Closed-Back Headphones. These headphones from the Beyerdynamic brand are one of the Amazon best sellers in recording headphones audio monitor. The DT770 is durable and has excellent sound quality. The good of Beyerdynamic DT770 that I so much like is they are very comfortable. My head’s size is medium to large, I think so. I can use it for three to four hours continuously by I don’t feel fatigued on my ears.

In addition, these headphones also produce very great sound quality. If you have never listened to the true audiophile headphones, you will be impression them. Because they give detail of sounds that is very transparent.

Some problems are that I found on DT770 are they are not wireless and have a long cable. The length was fine but it does not detach hence; they are not ideal for backpacking.

So, If you are a travel lover with headphones you may overlook the Beyerdynamic DT770 and look for other headphones that are foldable and wireless or detachable cord such as Sony WH-1000XM3.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Review – Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Superb sound quality.
  • True Audiophile quality sound.
  • Extreme comfortable.

Cons

  • Not wireless.
  • Maybe annoyance with a long wire.

The DT770 is available in black and grey. Besides, they have options for 16 ohms, 32 ohms, 80 ohms, and 250 ohms. The more ohms, the better the sound quality. But have to use with headphones amp with more output power so it will get good sound according to the spec of the headphones

5. Beyerdynamic DT880 Review – Great Semi-Open Headphones

The last one in the top 5 best Beyerdynamic headphones, the Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro Semi-Open Studio headphones. The semi-open design of DT880 means that you can relish both open-back and closed-back features.

The Beyerdynamic DT880 gives a neutral clear with detailed sound exact. So, it may be not ideal for those who love heavy bass or hip-hop style.

Fit and comfortable with adjustable headband and soft padded construction. The Beyerdynamic DT880 is also robust and constructed as all parts are replaceable.

When it comes to what is different between DT880 pro and DT880 premium. The Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro is ideal for use in the studio, use for mixing, and monitoring headphones. While the Beyerdynamic DT880 premium goes for use at home. Another thing difference between both them is the cable, DT880 Pro version is supplied with a coiled cable while the DT880 Premium edition version uses a straight cable.

The Pro version is coiled cable hence; it may tend to hang off your desk and may be annoying to you.

Keep in mind that, If you want the highest performance of these headphones, you may need a headphones amplifier to fully enhance the DT880’s performances such as the Beyerdynamic A20 headphones amplifier
