Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 Review – The Design

First of all, these wireless Bluetooth speaker is not lightweight, but not weight. The weight is 2.9 kg, which you can pick it out to another room. The design is a round shape with a handle on the top that is made from rubber, which makes it convenient for portability. The speaker has considerable weight, so there is a handle is pretty much essential.

The speaker can place on a flat floor or table. It’s quite a weight but small and comes with a strong handle. So you can take it with one hand. The Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 is battery-powered that convenient for bringing it outside without having to be plugged in all the time. They provide a maximum of playtime of up to 8 hours. Warning: Bluetooth signal can’t work well in the water.

There are rubberized black control buttons hidden in the back of the cloth grille. However; you can clearly see the symbol of these buttons. The control button includes Bluetooth, volume down, power, volume up, and playback control respectively.

How to control playback

  • Play song – press the play button one time
  • Skip to the next song – press the play button twice
  • Back to the previous song – unfortunately, can’t skip back to the previous song (this is one thing that feels no good)

Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 Review – The Sound Quality

The Onyx Studio 6 offers clear and accurate in term of sound quality. The mids and highs are balanced and consistent through. The treble is on point and not too bright, also not too fatigued. The bass is enough, deep and strong but not too much. For my listening, I am not hard rock genres and the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 offers excellent bass. So if you love heavy and so strong bass, look elsewhere.

One thing that should keep in mind, many people say the Onyx Studio 6 gives a much better volume when plugged in. And I agree with this.

All in all, the sound quality is immaculate. The mids are full and smooth. The treble is crisp and clear. The bass is soft and deep, not much strong bass.
