Monster Blaster 3.0 review

Monster Blaster 3.0 Portable Speaker

Wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, can work as a power bank, battery: rechargeable lithium-ion 5200mAh, playtime: 12 hours, port: Aux-in/min-in/USB-A, water-resistant: IPX5, listening mode: indoor/outdoor, power output: 120W (60W + 15W x 4)

Bluetooth speakers have rapidly popular in the last few years. Most cheap portable Bluetooth speakers always come with cheap sound quality as well. If you are not serious about sound quality and not so bass boom, just for listening to music in a bedroom or tiny party group in a small space, you may be trying to look for something like Tribit XSound Go, Insmy C30, Tozo PA1, which all are cheap and portable Bluetooth speaker come with fairly good sound quality (so-so). Or you can look at “Portable Bluetooth speaker under 50 USD – Compare specs & features“, which we will try to update these lists of cheap portable speakers. But today the portable Bluetooth speaker that we are talking about, is not quite cheap, the Monster Blaster 3.0 portable speaker. On release, they set the price up to $350. But now I think its price has come down. But this is quite good quality and focuses on powerful sound with a total power output is 120 watts. How good are these portable Bluetooth speakers? Let’s see the details in the Monster Blaster 3.0 review right now.

Monster Blaster 3.0 Review The Design

Monster Blaster 3.0 review

The Monster Blaster 3.0 portable speakers are available in black, white, and red. The triangle body design with 60 watts subwoofer on the bottom that is downward-firing and four 15 watts drivers, (2 on each side) the total power is 120 watts. Even though the design is easy to carry with a strong handle on the top, which makes the speaker easy to carry around same as the Monster Adventure Max Boomboox speaker. But the overall size is quite bulky (18.6 x 8.27 x 7.72 inches) and also weight is 12.95 pounds or 5.84 kg, which is quite a weight for portability. So I think the Monster Blaster 3.0 is not ideal for portable. Especially if you are just a small girl, the speaker’s 5.84 kg is quite a burden to carry for a long time.

The control panel is placed on one of the triangular ends, while various ports are installed on the other end, which is beneath a rubberized flap. The control buttons are pretty standard. You will see the on/off button, volume up/down, and the mode button is only really for change between indoor and outdoor modes. Unluckily, the Monster Blaster 3.0 does not come with any app support, which it should have for such an expensive speaker. There is no dedicated app support but the Monster Blaster 3.0 speaker comes with built-in Monsterr’s Environment EQ(TM) feature, which automatically optimizes music to sound clear, loud, and exciting depending on where you are.

Great for outdoors but not in the heavy rain

Monster Blaster 3.0 IPX water-resistant speaker

This powerful sound Bluetooth speaker is designed to just IPX5 water-resistant only. So it may be can’t survive in the pool or water. So if you have the party around poolside and use the Monster Blaster 3.0 speaker, please be more careful not to let it get wet. The IPX5 is water-resistant means it can resist some splash or soft rain only.

Ports and Connectivities

When it comes to those ports, there are four ports beneath the rubberized plate. Once open the rubber plate, first on the top you will find a Mic-in port that lets you connect to a microphone for karaoke or in case you need to do a presentation for your work. The second is Aux-In. The next is USB-A charges out, which lets you charge any devices that use a USB charging port (including Micro USB or USB typeMonster Blaster 3.0 wireless portable speaker C). The last port on the bottom is A/C power for charging your Blaster 3.0 speaker.

The Monster Blaster 3.0 speaker uses Bluetooth version 5.0 or NFC connectivity for connecting to your Bluetooth device like a smartphone. It’s easy and quickly connected and also stable. There is no signal drop in a range of about 50 feet if unobstructed.

Monster Blaster 3.0 Wireless Speaker – Battery

The Blaster 3.0 speaker can work as a power bank, which means lets you charge up a portable device via the USB-A charge-out port of the Monster Balster 3.0 speaker. With the 5200mAh capacity battery. However; even though there is a large capacity battery lithium-ion provides just only 12 hours on a single charge. That’s surprising and I don’t understand it. It should be given more playtime than that. However; in real use, I get a little more than 12 hours of playtime, and I can listen to music for almost 14 hours at a middle loud level. I think 12 to 14 hours is ample for all-day listening to music, right?

Monster Blaster 3.0 Wireless Speaker Review – The Sound Quality

Monster Blaster 3.0 120W portable speaker

When talking about Monster Blaster 3.0’s sound quality, the first thing that I would like to say it is a very loud speaker. With just five LEDs (out of eight) on the volume scale, this boombox speaker sound is very loud. The total power output of 120 watts ( 4 x 15 watts on each side + 60 watts on the bottom). The only way for sound tweaking is available, which is 2 modes: indoor and outdoor listening modes as mentioned above. I can feel that if the bass is more boom if raise the volume over level six out of eight levels. However; the bass is not too overwhelming but definitely more than enough to let you enjoy the impact beat of the bass. The sound quality is good for me because the bass is not too overpowering and the mids and highs are still good and crisp.
