Oraolo M91 Review – Affordable & Good Quality Portable Speaker

Portable Bluetooth speakers are coming and there are plenty of brands that you can search online. I have reviewed speakers of many brands such as Anker Soundcore, W-King, OontZ, and Tribit. These are affordable portable speakers that come with some pros and cons. Another brand that I’m interested in, is Oraolo. The portable Bluetooth speaker has just been released recently. And it’s unbelievable that it has quite good sales and has received very good reviews for the Oraolo M91 Loud Bluetooth Speaker. How about this product? Let’s go to dig into the details in the Oraolo M91 review.

Oraolo M91 Review – The Design and Durable

Portability design with a silicone retractable handle, which uses a material that gives a comfortable feeling in your hands. But its size is not quite small, its dimension is 27.8 x 11.9 x 12.5 cm, and its weight is around 3 pounds. All control buttons are covered by silicone rubber, which is placed on the left side. There are four control buttons that let you control music playback, volume up/down, switch modes, and power on/off. On the back of the speaker are I/O ports such as a charging port, a 3.5mm stereo jack for Aux input, and TF/micro-SD card input for external music sources. All ports are covered by rubber plates to protect them from water and dust.

The rubber plates seal very well and almost too well. After it is completely closed, it’s quite tough to get it open but not too hard. There is a small groove that you can use your pinky finger to pry out.

The material looks strong. The construction of the Oraolo M91 is all plastic with a metal mesh grill at the front. From the product’s description, it uses premium ABS material and can protect itself from impact. And also prevents damage from dropping from three feet in height. The bottom comes with silicone rubber for anti-slip and it works well.

Oraolo M91 Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

When talking about waterproofing, the Oraolo M91 provides an IPX6 waterproof rating. It means you can use it outdoors and withstand the rain, but not heavy rain. But keep in mind that, before taking it outdoors don’t forget to check the silicone rubber on the back, is it completely closed. This is important to protect the water from getting inside the internal circuit.

Control Buttons

Operation is pretty straightforward, not complicated. To power on, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. You can play, pause the music, or answer and reject calls by pressing the same button (power button). To wireless pairing, long press the ‘M’ button and short press for mode switch. The ‘+” button is used for the next track (long press) and volume up (short press). While the ‘-‘ button is used for the last track (long press) and volume down (short press).

After you insert the TF card, the unit will automatically continue playing music from the TF card. It will resume the latest track when you turn on the M91 speaker again.

Battery Life and Charging

These portable Bluetooth speakers provide you with up to 24 hours of listening to music. However; some say that the battery life is not up to 24 hours. I think it depends on the volume level that those people listen to. From my testing, the Oraolo M91 speaker offers not less than 20 hours. This number is just rough.

Unfortunately, this is not a USB-C charging port, it’s a micro USB. The full charge is about 4 – 5 hours. While charging, the LED indicator will automatically turn on. And the LED indicator will turn off after fully charging. The manual recommends turning off the speaker before charging. This is another one of the weaknesses. There are a lot of portable speakers that can be used while charging.

Oraolo M91 Portable Speaker Review – The Sound Quality

The Oraolo M91 provides decent overall sound quality for a Bluetooth portable speaker in this price range. 40W dual speakers are loud enough for medium to large room sizes. It fills a 10m x 12m area effortlessly. The mids and highs are very good, the vocals are extremely clear. But the bass is not too strong and deep. Personally opinion, the Oraolo M91 portable speaker lacks strong bass. It’s a little bass just higher than the sub bass register. It would be not ideal for rockers. But overall sound quality is great for providing music while doing chores, workingout in your home, and outdoor activities or parties.

All in all the Oraolo M91 review, I just say that it is a great speaker and affordable. 40W output is offered loud enough for listening to music at a small party. Good sound quality and is ideal for travel, camping, and outdoor adventures. The design is solid and survives dropped from not too high. IPX6 waterproof can be used outdoors.
