They are wireless gaming headsets that are built for PC and PlayStation 4/4 Pro/5 including Nintendo Switch as well. Besides, the design for the new gaming headphones and also the functionality of these gaming headsets have also been elevated. Guarantee positive reviews and high ratings from big media like gadgertytech.com.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Review – Design

You can feel a little of a facelift of the 700 Gen 2. The simple design with matte black let to reduce gaudiness. More simple and sleek with the silver metal logo in the middle of the earcups. The earcup padding with thick memory foam as well as the headband is well-padded for comfy wearing. Thanks to leatherette cushions padding with thick cooling gel-infused memory foam make wearing it more comfortable for a long gaming session. The earcups are able to 90-degree rotate as the Stealth 600 Gen 2, and also the same shaped earcups are designed to enfold your ears. The headphones are primarily plastic housing with metal-finish strips surrounding the earcups, which looks a little more prominent.

Their looks are quite bulky, heavy, and not colorful, just only black or white available. The headband is adjustable to fit head shapes and sizes with durable metal-reinforced made for the inner core of the headband. However, for hours wearing it, I feel a lot of clamping force and feel very tight around my temples and around the ears. So it might experience a bit of fatigue for long gaming or listening to music sessions.

The mic shaft is thick and a bit big, but it depends on the style and preference of each person. But for me, I like the small mic shaft like the Bengoo G9000.

Privately, the design of Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen ii is not so beautiful but feels durable and solid. The looks conservative design for gaming headphones

Stealth 700 Gen 2 Review – Build Quality

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen ii gaming headsets are well-built and also sturdy with high-grade plastic housing. The inner-core metal inside the headband makes them strong and extensible for a large head. The earcups are padded with memory foam cushions and covered with faux leather as well as built-in gel cool helps dissipate heat for long gaming sessions.

Physical Control Buttons & Audio Hub app

The Stealth 700 Gen 2 come with decent physical control buttons. There are provided roller buttons for both media sound volume and chat volume. The next is a mode, power on/off, and Bluetooth buttons. In addition, you can use the companion app, Turtle Beach Audio Hub app to adjust audio settings ( EQ presets and the Superhuman Hearing setting) and also program the mappable of wheel buttons and physical buttons on the earcups too. You can use the app connected to a mobile device (iOS or Android) via Bluetooth connectivity to set up any game you are playing.

Connectivities For Gaming

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 uses a 2.4GHz USB wireless RF dongle to connect to your gaming device. While connected to the game device, it also supports simultaneous Bluetooth connections to your mobile phone too. This is useful for answering a call or listening to something on your smartphone while playing the game without needing you to stop the game.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen II Review – Battery Life

According to specification, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 provides up to 20 hours on a sling charge. I didn’t catch specific the playtime but I feel that these gaming headsets provide battery life that far exceeds their specification. At the middle volume, they let me play games for more than 30 hours on a single charge, that is just an approximation.

There is no quick charging feature. Full charging takes a time more than 3 hours and may be almost 4 hours. It’s been quite a long time, but still good you can use Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 headphones while charging.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Review – The Sound Quality

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen is overemphasized bass but doesn’t totally muddy. But the mids and highs are moderate, not too over as well as not too low. While the vocals and lead instruments are quite well and clear.

In music, Their sound profile is ideal for EMD or hip-hop or other genres where really intense and prominent bass. In playing games, the rumble of explosions sound or gunfire sound gives you a wonderful and lifelike experience.

However; don’t forget you can choose up to five audio presets as well as a graphic equalizer allow you to fine-tune to get a great listening experience.
