Anker Soundcore A20i Review – Quality Wireless Earbuds for $30

Anker Soundcore A20i Review – Our Words

Anker Soundcore A20i review: I don’t say the Anker Soundcore A20i is the best wireless earbud for listening to music or making calls. But its price is very cheap, and the quality of the build and sound is fair for this price range. You can choose from 22 preset EQs via the Soundcore app. The design is small and easily portable. The battery life is around 9 hours for a single charge and up to 28 hours with its charging case. Overall performance is worth it for wireless earbuds under $30.

Anker Soundcore A20i

true wireless earbuds, Bluetooth 5.3 (support AAC codec), battery life: up to 9 hours (single charge)/28 hours (with charging case), quick charge: 10 minutes get 20 hours of playtime, customized sound & 22 preset EQS (via the Soundcore app), built-in 2 microphones (AI-Enhanced Clear Calls), design for portability (small, compact, and including lanyard)

The Anker Soundcore A20i true wireless earbuds are a decent pair of TWS headphones. They are lightweight and small, and their comfortable fit should be good for long listening sessions. Their out-of-the-package sound performance is slightly heavy in bass, which should please listeners of hip-hop and EDM. They also last nearly 6 hours on one charge, and their charging case holds a further 4 charges. For complete details, let’s jump to the Anker Sound A20i review:

Anker Soundcore A20i Review – The Design

Anker Soundcore A20i

The very simple yet good-looking design of the Anker A20i buds stands out. They come in a compact and sleek case that also works as a charger. You’ll find two small earbuds with soft ear tips inside the charging case.

They don’t feature clickable buttons but have complete touch-sensitive controls. While the controls have a shiny, glossy finish, the complete body is covered in matte plastic. Furthermore, the complete package is waterproof.

All in all, the charging case is simple to hold and carry. The charging case also comes with a lanyard that lets you hang it on your backpack or put it inside. The design of the charging case is simple, and you can flip it open with just one thumb.

Comfort and fit

The Anker Soundcore A20i wireless earbuds are decently comfortable. The company provides three ear tips in different sizes to help you get the perfect fit and comfort.

For secure fit and comfort, the Soundcore A20i is similar to the JLab Air Icon True wireless earbuds. The A20i is slightly smaller and thinner in certain areas, which makes it more smooth and comfortable in the ear.

They also have touch-sensitive controls, so you would not push them strongly into your ear when you touch the earbuds, the same as the TOZO T6. The A20i earbuds themselves are pretty fine in my ear once I examine how to put them correctly.

They’re not too small or bulky either, but they do not feel or seem odd when worn. They’re comfortable to wear and don’t make your ears hurt, based on my real experience.

Battery Life

Anker Soundcore A20i review

The A20i gives up to 9 hours of playtime on a single charge. The charging case can fill the battery three times. Just 10 minutes after recharging the earbuds, you can get another two hours of battery life. All in all, in terms of battery life, it’s not so good, just mediocre and enough for all-day use on a single charge.

Anker Q20i True Wireless Earbuds – Sound Quality

Anker A20i review

These buds have a balanced sound quality. The audio is crisp and nice, and you would not struggle with muffled sounds. The mids and trebles can be heard easily, making them acceptable for various musical styles.

The tone range offered by the Soundcore A20i is fine and ensures a seamless listening experience. These buds have a unique, pleasant neutrality to their sound.

  • Bass Accuracy

The Anker Soundcore A20i uses small 6mm drivers, with the soundcore’s signature BassUp technology giving the bass accuracy and heavy. These Soundcore wireless earbuds deliver strong mid-bass. The overall bass here’s as rich and rumbling as some genres might need.

Many companies focus on making earbuds with extremely inflated bass. But the Soundcore A20i’s bass sound isn’t excessive or overwhelming; it provides seamlessly strong bass and is good enough. The mids and vocals are well-balanced. The trebles have a warm tonality.

  • Noise Isolation

While the buds don’t feature ANC like some high-end options, they have decent noise isolation. These Soundcore wireless earbuds will block out background noises as long as they adjust in your ear correctly.

If you regularly work or use your buds in places with various background chatter, the Soundcore A20i will ensure that you’re not disturbed by such sounds. The buds mightn’t be able to block the rumbling from planes and buses, but they’re nice enough to deal with high-pitched AC noises.

Support Soundcore App

Soundcore by Anker A20i ture wireless earbuds - support Soundcore app

The good thing is that you can choose a sound profile from 22 preset EQs in the Soundcore app. Yes, the A20i supports the Soundcore app. In the app, you can customize the sound, see the remaining battery (both left and right earbuds), change the control schema, find the device, and activate gaming mode.

IPX5 Water-Resistance Wireless Earbuds

The water- resistance is not very good, but not so bad. It has an IPX5 water-resistant rating (same as SoundPEATS Mini and Status Between Pro), allowing the earbuds to work for exercise and outdoor activities in soft rain. If you value waterproofing, the Soundcore A20i may not be ideal for you, and I recommend trying Tribit FlyBuds 3 (IPX7), Tozo T10S (IPX8), or Jabra Elite 7 Pro (IP57).

Anker Soundcore A20i Review – Final Verdicts

Truth be told, after a complete Anker Soundcore A20i review, I do not have a lot of issues with the buds. They fit well, are compact, and have a bunch of attractive features that make them a good option for most individuals. While the battery life is a little short (9 hours), it’s long enough for internal flight in the United States.
