Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC Review – Short words
Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC review: The Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is not the best wireless earbud, but it is probably the best wireless earbud under $100 (at least in the minds of many people). The sound quality is better than many earbuds in this price range. They support LDAC (high-resolution audio). The noise cancellation is very good, and the ANC level is adjustable on the app. The battery life is enough for all-day listening to music. The Soundcore app is amazing and can customize many things.
Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC Wireless Earbuds
in-ear, true wireless earbuds, battery life: 10 hours (single charge)/50 hours (with charging case), IPX4 water-resistant, supported codecs: LDAC/AAC/SBC, Bluetooth 5.3, support Soundcore app (customize sound profile/22 EQ presets/ANC adjustable)
Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is a medium-priced true wireless earbud that is affordable. They are packed with full features: adaptive ANC 2.0, adjustable transparency sound, high-res sound, as well as support for LDAC codecs for higher-resolution audio streaming. They provide a long-lasting battery life of up to 50 hours with their charging case. Each earbud has built-in mics for clear calls. Besides, you can use HearID 2.0 to find the perfect sound profile for the ears and mix it up with a fully adjustable EQ. You can also choose from 22 preset sound profiles to match your preferences.
Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC Review – Luxurious and Simply Design
The overall design looks similar to the predecessor, Soundcore Liberty 4, in both the case and earbuds. The Liberty 4 NC’s case took on a rounded-squarish shape and was flipped to open the lid. The earbuds are stemmed, which is quite long.
The stems are round and long in shape. The case is small, compact, and easy to take in your pocket. Most materials are plastic, making them lightweight (just 19 grams).
The earbuds do not make your ears fatigueless, even after a long listening session. The company offers four different sizes of ear tips: extra small, small, medium, and large. So you can easily choose the size that fits your ears.
Available in 5 colors: black, white, blue, navy blue, and pink.
Touch Control
The touch control area is placed on top of the stems. The touch area is not too sensitive, and you rarely mistouch. You will hear the nice chime sound that lets you know the earbuds are registered input.
The control schema is easy. For example, you can play or pause the audio as well as answer calls by single-taping on either an earbud or pressing and holding to switch between ANC and transparency mode. Besides, you can skip to the next track by tapping twice on the left. In contrast, tap twice on the right to go back to the previous track.
Volume control: triple tab on the left for volume down and on the right for volume up.
The impressive point is that the control schema can be reassigned via the app. So you can make changes to the controls. Further, you can lock the touch area when the earbud is out of your ears to prevent accidental taps and trigger functions.
Are the Liberty 4 NC wireless earbuds good for exercising?
The earbuds are stable in my ears. They also have no problem staying in place and do not fall out while I’m moving my head, such as during yoga sessions or other slight exercises.
However, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC has an IPX4 water-resistant rating, which is quite a bit, and it cannot tolerate wet conditions. So they are not wireless earbuds for athletics. So if you are one of those who sweats a lot while working out, the Liberty 4 NC is not for you. If you are looking for wireless earbuds for outdoor or indoor sports, you should choose wireless earbuds with a bit higher waterproof rating or at least an IPX5 level, such as Soundcore Life P2 or SoundPEATS T2 wireless earbuds.
Battery Life
They have good battery life; according to their specs, the Liberty 4 NC offers 10 hours of playtime for a single charge, and the charging case provides another 40 hours of playtime. This number is approximate. In actual use, the number of hours depends on several factors, such as volume level, noise-canceling level, and other features that you are using.
However, I use these Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC earbuds to listen to music and get calls for around 6 to 7 hours daily (discontinuously) at 50% volume. I can use them for more than one week before needing to recharge the case again. I was quite impressed with their battery life and gave them five stars.
Generally, a battery of earbuds can work for around 2 or 3 years. And I hope that these Soundcore Liberty 4 NC wireless earbuds can work for more than 2 years before their batteries deteriorate.

The Sound Quality
The Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC delivers a heavy bass sound. The audio is awesome, with enough bass. But some songs, I feel, have overemphasized treble, especially songs with a cymbal sound. But it’s not too piercing. The vocals and mids are clear and excellently detailed.
Nevertheless, if you don’t like the default sound signature of Anker Soundcore, you can customize the sound profile or choose EQ from the 22 preset EQ profiles in the app. In the app, you can customize the sound profile (with a graphic EQ interface to let you fine-tune the mix), noise-canceling level, and touch control scheme, as well as update firmware.
When it comes to noise cancellation, the Liberty 4 NC is quite good. They can block wind noise and other low-frequency noises like car engines and vacuum sound, and these earbuds are great for a long trip on flights. They can reduce engine noise during a trip.
