Sennheiser HD 450BT Review – Final words

Sennheiser HD 450BT review: A moderately good active noise cancellation headphones but excellent Bluetooth audio. These cans offer wireless on-the-go up to 30 hours of playtime. The sound quality is also good, with deep bass. The mids are clear and full. The treble is not too high and sharp. However; you can adjust the EQ setting in the Sennheiser Smart Control app,

over-ear, active noise cancellation, playtime: up to 30 hours, USB-C fast charging, voice assistant, Bluetooth 5.0, personalize sound via EQ (with the Sennheiser Smart Control app)

Albeit Sennheiser isn’t a top brand in terms of noise-canceling headphones like Sony or Bose but the Sennheiser HD 450BT also is a cool active noise-canceling headphone as well. There are several great features for example lightweight, foldable, Bluetooth 5.0, long battery life of up to 30 hours, fast charging, and also come with voice assistant. Let’s go into detail about how well these Sennheiser headphones are in the Sennheiser HD 450BT review.

Sennheiser HD 450BT Review – The Design

Sennheiser HD 450BT review

During the first week of wearing these headphones, I can feel the clamping force that the HD 450BT offers in exchange for a perfect fit. After almost a week of continuously using, the headphones become looser and I can wear them for hours each time without any pain or stress around the temples again.

The design is somewhat very simple but looks quite stylish. If you don’t like flashy designs and over-colors headphones, you’ll probably like the design of the Sennheiser HD 450BT. The outer of the earcup is smooth and without any pattern. There are only white and black. If you choose black, you will get the all-black headphones. Both earcups and the headband. There is a Sennheiser logo on the headband, but it’s not very noticeable, because the color of the logo and headband is slightly different. But if you choose the white, you get two-tone headphones. That means the main housing is white but both ear cushions are chic silver-gray. And the headband looks outstanding with two-tone. Personally, I prefer white.

They are designed to on-the-go, they can fold and are easy to contain in the backpacks and travel with you anywhere. Thanks to the fully foldable design and come with a carrying case, lets you use a minimum amount of room in the bag.

The most of materials are plastic and that’s why these Sennheiser headphones are rather light. For these reasons, the Sennheiser HD 450BT is ideal for travel.

The Control Button & Charging Port

The controls are placed on the bottom of the right earcups. The USB-C charging port, a physical button for music playback control, and calls control. Besides, you can control voice assistants whether Google Assistant or Siri on the right cups.

Long Battery Life

Sennheiser HD 450BT - Long batter life

The Sennheiser HD 450BT offers great playtime, which is of up to 30 hours and full charge time is only 2 hours via USB-C charging port. In terms of battery life, these best Sennheiser headphones can insistent and beat the Bost QC35 ii and also Bost 700 noise-canceling headphones, which bost offer a battery life of only 20 hours.

You can view battery status on the Sennheiser Smart Control app. With the app, you can do what is needed including adjusting Equalizer, performing firmware updates.

Sennheiser HD 450BT Review – Great Built and Features

Sennheiser HD 450BT wireless headphones

With the aptX Low Latency, the Sennheiser HD 450BT offers less than 40 ms of latency. That means you can wear these headphones for watching TV or playing games without any lags. Active noise canceling is one of the great features of these Sennheiser headphones. Even though it can’t beat the top-rated ANC headphones like Bose 700 or Sony WH-1000XM4, but these headphones you must pay more. However; the Sennheiser HD 450BT still can block some noise. They can block noise that is not very loud such as background talking, or the sound from the TV is not very loud.

They are not very good noise-canceling headphones. So, if you are serious about active noise cancellation, these Sennheiser headphones are not for you. You should look for other great ANC headphones such as Bose 700 noise-canceling, Bose QuietComfort 35 ii, or Sony WH-1000XM4.

The Sound Quality

The output of the HD 450BT is a smooth, rich balance that’s let to enjoy with the music. They deliver deep dynamic bass and emphasis on bass in all its form. The mids are clear and full, the treble is rolled off slightly. However; fortunately, that you can refine all this to some degree with the equalizer via the Sennheiser Smart Control app. Listen and judge for yourself.

Sennheiser HD 450BT Review – Final Verdict

Even though the Sennheiser HD 450BT is not the best in terms of sound quality and active noise canceling features, the design is chic and supremely comfortable for long listening to music sessions. If you want to pay less than $200 and you are not an audiophile that needs high-end headphones, the Sennheiser HD 450BT also gives sound good enough. The best point probably is the long-life battery, that of up to 30 hours for once charge. All in all the Sennheiser HD 450BT is good enough for their price, but the price may be a little expensive cause of the Sennheiser brand. Thanks for reading till to the end of the Sennheiser HD 450BT review. Thank you.
