Over-Ear Headphones

OneOdio A71 Review – Cheap Studio Recording Headphones

OneOdio A71 Review – Short Words

OneOdio A71 Fusion Headphones review: This is a cheap over-ear headphone that is under 40 USD with two cables and two connection options. The A71 is ideal for studio recording headphones. It’s more convenient with foldable earcups and 90° rotatable earpads, including an extendable headband. The sound quality is moderate and fit for music, movies, and gaming. All in all, the OneOdio A71 is worth your money.

OneOdio A71

over-ear, hi-res studio recording headphones, wired, share music & videos, in-line mic, foldable earcups, soft padding earpads, stretchable headband, wired (3.5mm & 6.35mm), 90-degree swiveling ear pads

OneOdio has a reputation for cheap headphones, and the OneOdio A71 Fusion is one of the best over-ear headphones under $50. In fact, the price of the A71 is moderately lower than that. In the OneOdio A71 review, we are talking about design, comfort, sound quality, pros and cons, and my final verdict for these cheap over-ear headphones under $50.

If you are looking for friendly budget-wired over-ear headphones that are more comfortable than Skullcandy Riff (more details on Amazon.com), you are in the right place.

OneOdio A71 review – Design and Build Quality

At first glance, the look is nice, with red and black looking perfectly contrasted. The overall construct is almost all plastic. The plastic is thin, and once you touch it, you will know that you should immediately touch it tenderly and never place it vigorously on a table or any hard surface.

The headband is like general headphones; it is extendable and adjustable to fit all head shapes. The earcups have an oval-shaped design and are foldable, plus they are 90-degree rotatable. This makes it more convenient; you can fold and rotate it for storage in the bag or wear it comfortably around your neck.

The earpads are padded with ear cushions and covered with vinyl leatherette, which is soft and comfy for my ears. After I wear the A71, I listen to music for hours. Wow! I did not feel any fatigue or pain around my ears at all. That’s why the OneOdio A71 is ideal for monitoring, mixing, and working in the studio.

The hinges are quite solid and stable, the headband slider clicks nicely, and there are no creaks or squeaks.

OneOdio A71 Review – Connectivity

The OneOdio A71 is wired. It’s not wireless headphones like some OneOdio models, such as the Studio Wireless Pro C, A10, or A70. It provides a detachable cable. There is a 3.5mm and a 6.3mm cable. You can use these cables for sharing your music with your friends; that is one of the A71’s great features, and I like it. The A71 comes with a jack lock system on the stereo AUX cable; this allows for a more stable connection and provides a secure fit connector.

These cheap over-ear headphones also add a jack lock system to the stereo Aux cable. You don’t have to worry about any connection problems. They also have a standard 1.2-meter analog cable with a remote button and an in-line mic.

OneOdio A71 Hi-Res Studio Recording Headphones – The Sound Quality

Surely, you can’t compare cheap headphones to audiophile headphones in terms of sound quality. However, the OneOdio A71 has decent sound performance among other headphones in this price range. It’s not wireless headphones; generally, wired headphones offer better sound quality than wireless.

When it comes to sound quality, the A71 offers not-so-good and not-too-bad sound stages. The bass is decently deep and strong, but not as much as the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X. However, sometimes I feel that the A71 has too much bass mud. The mid-bass is quite warm and fuzzy-sounding. But some tracks, like Sun BLVD or Ian Ewing, sound pretty fabulous.

The treble is lacking in some details and slightly withdrawn, but you can hear crisp, high tones on some tracks.

How is the noise isolation?

The sound isolation is adequate and decent, even though unspectacular. The softly padded ear cushions help to reduce a lot of the outside sound, although not all. Nevertheless, the OneOdio A71 is not our first option for passive noise isolation headphones.

The OneOdio A71 Fusion are decent-sounding headphones. The important thing is a cheap product that comes with good sound quality and comfortable headphones. It’s a great fit for movies, immersive explosion-heavy gaming, and mainstream music genres.

All in all, the OneOdio A71 Fusion headphones are not for audiophiles, but the sound quality is not bad. The sound range is wide enough and offers excellent sounds from both low and high frequencies. These wired headphones are worth for these price tags in terms of sound quality and comfort for a long listening session. This is ideal for DJs, mixers, electric guitars, keyboards, drums, piano, listening to music, and great for playing games.
