SuperEQ S2 review – Bluetooth ANC On-Ear Headphones

SuperEQ S2 Review – Short words

The SuperEQ S2 review: The outstanding is well-built and comes with Hi-Fi stereo deep bass. These wireless on-ear headphones provide 25 hours of playtime. The sound quality is mediocre at their price. Active noise canceling is work well, they can block most outside noise even though not completely. The battery life is quite good, they provide nearly 25 hours when listening via Bluetooth mode and around 45 hours when listening to music via wired mode.

SuperEQ S2

on-ear, wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, active noise canceling, hi-fi stereo sound, deep bass, foldable earcups, playtime: 25 hours (Bluetooth)/45 hours (wired), fold flat design, IPX4 water resistant

A few months ago, I just review SuperEQ S1 hybrid active noise-canceling headphones. It’s cheap over-ear headphones. The SuperEQ is not a famous brand but a quality brand, affordable. Another model of SuperEQ, S2 Bluetooth ANC on-ear headphones. And as always, the SuperEQ S2 is affordable ANC headphones same as the S1 but different in form factor. The S1 is over-ear, and S2 is on-ear. This short SuperEQ S2 review will show you the sound quality, design, and some good and weaknesses. And end with the verdict.

SuperEQ S2 Review – The Design

The SuperEQ S2 on-ear ANC headphones are available in two colors, black, and black-blue (two-tone). The headband is well padding and has comfortable PU leather to support the head. The headband also can be extensible to perfectly fit your head. If you extend the headband, you will see the inner core of the headband is circular rods and looks nice and unique.

The earcups are also as well, they are well padding and covered with PU leather and can be rotated both left and right. So the SuperEQ S2 can be folded flat and folded inward earcups to keep in the drawstring carrying pouch that is included in the kit when on the go.

However; the one thing that might be a weakness, that is the earcups is quite small in diameter, so the SuperEQ S2 is probably not perfect for adults with large head size. in fact, a person with a medium-sized head would probably feel uncomfortable. So, when it comes to comfort for long listening sessions, these cheap on-ear headphones are more suitable for kids or those who have small head and small ears. This is one of the disadvantages of on-ear headphones. Most on-ear headphones have small earcups. So most people buy on-ear headphones for their kids. And also the SuperEQ S2 is one of the best on-ear headphones for kids as well.

So if you have large ears and a large head, the SuperEQ S1 gives more comfortable for long listening sessions.

Can you wear the SuperEQ S2 headphones for exercise?

I just say that it can, the SuperEQ S2 Bluetooth ANC headphones come with IPX4 water-resistant rating. That means it can withstand sweat while working out. But with the form factor style is not in-ear headphones, it can get quite bulky as you move quickly during your workout. Personally, the over-ear or on-ear headphones are not ideal for working out. But some don’t think like that.

SuperEQ S2 Bluetooth ANC HeadphonesControls and Connectivity

There are controls on both left and right earcups. On the right, there are basic controls: volume control, and power on/off button. Next to these buttons, there is the 3.5mm AUX port for wired connection to your desktop, laptop, or mobile. The company gives the AUX cable in the package too.

On the left earcups, there is a USB port for charging and an ANC switch.

The SuperEQ S2 comes with a stable connection and low latency by Bluetooth 5.0 like general Bluetooth headphones. The maximum Bluetooth range is around 33 feet or 10 meters without obstacles. This is not outstanding, just standard wireless protocol.

As mentioned before, there is a 3.5mm AUX cable that is an alternative for saving the battery of your headphones. Because if you plug AUX cable into other devices like laptops or mobile, it will use the power of the connected device instead. In case you connect to a mobile, you will drain your phone battery faster.

The good thing is the SuperEQ S2 active noise-canceling headphones also can still support multi-device connections as well.

Battery and Playtime

These affordable on-ear headphones give up to nearly 25 hours on Bluetooth mode. And also give a little more than 45 hours on wired mode. That’s good for me and don’t worry about a long journey. No matter where you go, these batteries are more than reasonably-powerful. Moreover; there is an airplane adapter plug included in the package.

SuperEQ S2 Review- The Sound Quality

The SuperEQ S2 comes with built-in high-quality 40mm Neodymium magnet drivers and also delivers Hi-Fi stereo sound quality. The bass is enough powerful and deep. They provide just the right amount of bass when listening to music. The mid and trebles are nothing outstanding but are well-balanced.

When turning on the ANC button, I’m so surprised by their price tag. I can barely hear anything around me, just some sound creeping in very little. But that’s not an issue. I still can immerse and enjoy my music.

The Call Quality

Thank CVC 8.0 noise-canceling mics, the SuperEQ S2 provide call is crystal clear. I can hear every word from my callees. The CVC8.0 can be suppressing external noise very well.
