Still continuously developing and newly released with famous brands like B&O or Bang & Olufsen. Highly trusted in sound quality and luxurious material whether H95 or H9 3rd Gen from Beoplay. The new item that we going to review, is Beoplay HX extremely comfortable wireless headphones with exceptional active noise cancellation. How? We go to dig deep in the Beoplay HX review now.
Beoplay HX Review – The Design
The good exterior and expensive looks as well as hi-grade build quality with premium material. The seamless combination of lambskin leather, aluminum, titanium, cowhide leather, polymer, fabric, soft memory foam, and good quality plastics become the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX that is the most comfortable wireless ANC headphones. Every part can feel opulent and excellent. The Beoplay HX feels premium and great when in the hands.
The design looks very luxurious and also supreme comfortable, soft around the ears, as well as it’s lightweight too (just only 10 ounces or 283.5 grams). ฺSo, they are not burdensome for wearing even for hours. The pity of Beoplay HX, they can not fold inward. But they come with a nice carrying case that can protect your headphones, even though not save space in the bag. For now, you will be able to choose to buy them in up to four colors (on I’m writing), black anthracite, dark maroon, sand, and timber. All of the colors are elegant and expensive looks, as you would expect from any Bang & Olufsen product.
There are a few controls around the edges of the earcups including the Bluetooth, multi-function, and ANC buttons (which let you switch between active noise cancellation and transparent mode).
Comfort and fit
They provide softness around your ears. As well as comfortable over your head. With their weight of only 283.5g, I can wear the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX for hours on end without feeling any fatigue around the ears or even my head. However, the Beoplay HX comes with a 40mm driver size that might be too small for those who have large ears. That means these most comfortable headphones might be not comfortable for some. I found that they are not as big as a lot of other over-ear so this can is not ideal for everyone. If you are who have a big head and ears, you should look for other headphones.
The premium materials make these Beoplay headphones seem very sturdy. Every part of the headphones is not easy to break or damage. However; the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX wireless ANC headphones don’t come with an official IP rating. That is mean they do not resist water and also do not resist dust too. What’s such, unfortunately, is that high-end wireless headphones like Beoplay HX there is not waterproof and dustproof. Most of the wireless over-ear headphones don’t have an IP rating as well. So you should be careful while wearing them on a wet day and away from water.
Easy and Smart Touch Control
The Beoplay HX wireless ANC headphones come with easy and intuitive touch control. This is a how controls on the outside of the earcups.
- Play/Pause music – tap once
- Back to the last song – once swipe backward
- Skip to the next song – once swipe forwards
- Volume up/down – swipe around the edge
It may take a little time to get used to the gesture controls on these headphones. When familiar, you will feel easy with these gesture control.
Battery and Playtime
Exceed expectations, the Beoplay HX uses a big battery that provides you with playtime for up to 40 hours when turning off the ANC mode. Or even turn on the ANC mode, you will get last up to 35 hours of playtime. This is pretty impressive for the Beoplay headphones. The exproximate charging time is around 3 hours for full charging.
Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX Review – The Sound Quality
- The bass and treble are well seamlessly balanced
- Powerful active noise-canceling
- Spacious soundstage and open
- Balanced and natural sound overall
At the first, I try this can, on my god! the sound is sweet-soft, with deep bass, and crystal clear treble. The overall sounding, the Beoplay HX delivers very excellent sound performance. The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX provides top-notch sound quality with a well-balanced sound. Moreover; you can adjust the equalizer via the app to what you like.
The bass is precise and pleasant, deep and soft, and also not too overwhelming. The edges of low-end sound are nice and straight, do not drone or overhang. The thumping bass and not distorts other instrument sound or even vocals.
The mids are clear and give every detail of sound. The treble is not too high and delivers an end-high sound that is clear and crisp.
The soundstage is spacious and can separate instrument sound clearly. The noise cancellation is good but does not equal top ANC headphones like Sony WH-1000XM5 or Bose 700 noise canceling. However; it can’t beat WH-1000XM5 but close to.
The Beoplay HX’s sound quality to sum up is beautiful, clean, crisp, and does not sacrifice any instrument. The bass is deep and soft. The music sepeartion is fanstastic.
Almost forgot the Beoplay HX has customizable sound EQ. However; the sound quality all depends on you adjusting EQ via the app too. For some genres, you might adjust the equalizer to proper that genre’s music as well.
The sound quality is personally feeling, but I so much like the Beoplay HX’s sound signature.
