Tozo is one of the cheapest wireless earbud brands on Amazon’s list of best sellers. Tozo has many wireless earbuds on the best-seller list, such as the T6, T10, A1, A2 Mini, NC2, and NC9. Besides wireless earbuds, Tozo has a wireless charger, wall charger, power bank, watches, and a portable speaker. Currently, the Tozo PA1 is the only portable speaker from Tozo (at the time of writing) and gets a high score from customer reviews (almost 5/5). Why? Let’s check the details of the Tozo PA1 review right now.
Tozo PA1 Review—The Design
The Tozo PA1 is available in only black. Their shape is like a general portable speaker, capsule-shaped. All physical control buttons are placed on the top. On top of the speaker, you can pair Bluetooth, play/pause music, next/previous track, answer/reject calls, volume up/down, EQ (treble +/bass +), and a power button. There is a lanyard that makes it easily portable. The Tozo PA1 has an IPX7 waterproof rating, which means it can withstand heavy rain or immersion in a pool up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. This is a specification for IPX7 waterproof, but I have not tested it yet.
Their lightweight and small design, including an IPX7 waterproof rating, makes the PA1 speaker more portable and ideal for indoor or outdoor activities.
Tozo PA1 Bluetooth Portable Speaker – Battery Life
The company claims that the Tozo PA1 has a battery life of up to 12 hours at 50% maximum volume. I have not tested the exact battery life. But I have been listening to music with the Tozo PA1 Bluetooth speaker for about 40 minutes to one hour daily for a week, and the battery has dropped around 40%. So I think the playtime that Tozo PA1 provides is probably more than 12 hours. The battery life so far seems good.
Great sound quality with Smart TOZO App
![]()
The initial sound setting is not so good; it is just an ordinary, flat-sounding speaker. The lows, mids, and highs are not outstanding. All frequency ranges are ordinary and quite flat. This is a default sound setting. But the good thing is that Tozo has a great app, the Smart TOZO app, which allows you to adjust your sound profile. You can customize EQ mode, where you have multiple choices for EQ mode adjustment. There are two built-in EQ settings, treble+ and bass+, which are pretty simple but great as well. In the app, you can choose from 16 preset EQs. Moreover, you can customize the EQ to your favorite style and save custom settings too.
However, even though you can customize your sound profile or choose the preset EQ via the app, the Tozo PA1 comes with only 20 watts of power from a 67 mm dynamic driver that can fill a small room with reasonable sound. I think 20 watts of power is not a lot. So the sound is not very loud and does not come with as strong a bass as I think. The Tozo PA1 is a budget-friendly portable speaker; the sound quality is fair for the average user and doesn’t have the detailed sound audiophiles need. But for me (not an audiophile). All in all, the PA1 has decent sound quality.
Besides, these affordable portable Bluetooth speakers also have a dual pairing feature. You can connect the additional Tozo PA1 speaker for immersive stereo surround sound and louder volume.
